=oD So glad I can help someone on here add to their musical collection. I really didn't expect anyone on here to even give the music I listen to a chance. =oP Anywho... I've been hooked on Access To Arasaka, Disharmony/Oxyd and Cybo over the last week. Right now I've got a fairly large playlist going with a couple albums on random; ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Access To Arasaka - Metax Access To Arasaka - Oppidan Cybo - Echospond Cybo - Hunters Cybo - Now That They're Watching (Reconstructed) Disharmony - Evolution Disharmony - Malignant Shields Disharmony - Moonflower Oxyd - Astral Boarder Oxyd - Liveforms ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Metax and Now That They're Watching are both available for free (legal) download - Metax from the Illphabetik label site - http://illphabetik.com/release/ill027 - and NTTW from archive.org - http://archive.org/details/siro499Cybo-Reconstructed I absolutely LOVE Cybo's vocals. I was going to work on a couple tracks with her back in 2010, but that wound up falling through. But if you're into downtempo dreamy electronica with beautiful female vocals, definitely check her out. She's also got a pretty large collection of photography on her website - http://djcybo.com/Cybo/Cybotography.html - and FB page - http://www.facebook.com/djcybo/photos_stream - some AMAZING pix there if you're into that sort of thing.
Thanks SV! Music is a big part of all our lives and its best to be open to the vast and ever expanding catalog of music out there! Also thanks for the links in your post and can't wait to check them out Too bad about working with Cybo but chances will come and yes I love beautiful female voices and dreamy music.... Most guys do And if there's artistic photography to view I'm all for that... That's right up my alley Thanks again
Hey SV Have been checking out Cybo and I like her voice and music very much! There is the complete Hunters album on YouTube...I listened to the first four songs and I was hooked..will have to hear it all Her photography is excellent and I'd like to see her website on my family laptop when I get a chance...it's used liked crazy by others for studying Also will have to log on to Access to Arasaka Metax on the laptop...this touch 4g won't download any of the songs so.... I like in the description of the album where it said " Futuristic society shrouded in rain".... I immediately thought of the movie " Bladerunner" Disharmony is just Fantastic! Really like Oxyds work... neat the use of religious plain chant interwoven into the music landscape...really good It's nice to see much of these artists albums are available on iTunes so I may be making some purchases.....
I've been in a really calm mood lately (if you couldn't tell from the Cybo/Oxyd/AtA obsession over the last couple weeks...) - and I just so happened to find out that one of my old musician friends (MikTek) was recently signed to Ultimae Records, which is one of my favorite labels... But I've been listening to a lot of their releases over the last couple days. But right now, I've had these albums on shuffle all morning; Solar Fields - Random Friday Solar Fields - Altered [Second Movements] Aes Dana - Perimeters Cell - Hanging Masses Various Artists - Greenosophy I Awake - The Core H.U.V.A. Network - Ephermeris A lot of progressive downtempo and ambient soundscape stuff. You can take a listen to quite a few of their releases on the Ultimae bandcamp page if you're interested. Each album is also very reasonably priced at around $5 (US) if you're so inclined to snag some of em they're half the price on bandcamp that they are on iTunes... http://ultimae.bandcamp.com/ **Note - if you're interested in hearing some of MikTek's material you can here; http://miktek.bandcamp.com - there's quite a few free albums downloads there as well.
