Finally got my copy of Velvet Acid Christ - Meldire in the mail yesterday...

    What a shame.

I'm listening to it for the 3rd time, and I just can't believe this is what VAC has come to. I mean, I'm kinda glad we had warning... Lust for Blood and TAOBA were very good preludes to this POS. It's just upsetting that what was once my favorite musician in the world has been reduced to this cliched, shallow mess. I remember the days when he was complaining that DJs wouldn't play his music because it 'changed too much', and every song had immense emotion in just about every single nook and cranny of the lyrics, vocal work and sounds. Shame... IT'S A ******* SHAME! GRAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!
    =o(

**sorry, I know you guys don't care... but I'm sure most of you have been let down by artists that you had immense respect for in the past. I was just hoping that the last two albums were kind of... flukes. Blamed it on the fact that he had to sell all of his gear to keep himself from living on the streets (a musician, get a job... =oO THE **** YOU TALKIN ABOUT?!?! with a job how would he have been able to make one album every THREE years?? =oP ) - and that once he settled in with all of his near gear, he'd go back to what he was for the first 8 or so years.

Just sucks being shown that it's all over, even if you already knew.

I feel for ya syntheticvoid! It's disappointing when this happens to a recording artist let alone any artist
Often it's the pressure outside of the artist caving in that causes the change in direction...the need for money or whatever
Sometimes the fan knows its junky and the artist claims its growth or expanding their horizons....but you can rarely fool the devoted fan!!!!
Best advice...make your own music and stay true to yourself...that's all we can ultimately have some say and control over
    Keep DJing:)

Will have to check these out!
    Thanks
P.S just noticed his music is on iTunes!
    Watched and listened on YouTube
    Some real powerful stuff here!!!!
Like the church organ playing Oh Little Town of Bethlehem in Hallucinagene
Pretty intense textures and vocals here!
Felt while listening like my senses were being transported into an epic battle between heaven and hell.......I survived it:)
    Good stuff!!
