Don't stop.....I may eventually reckonize one of these bands and songs!!! Man do I feel out of the loop and ancient when it comes to current music I have heard of Bush though but I'm more familiar with Kate Bush!! One artist that's quite interesting is Julia Kent- Schiphol...although her name is not Dutch the word Schiphol is the name of the international airport in Amsterdam
it's not really current... most of the stuff I listen to, when it comes to alternative/radio type stuff is from the 90's. =oP Julia Kent is an amazing violinist, and yeah, the album it's on is called 'Delay' and has a bunch of songs named after airports; Gardermoen Elmas Arlanda ect... and then a bunch of ambient 'Airport Atmosphere' tracks with sounds from the airports. =oP ** oh yeah... Jack Off Jill - Love Song ** Jack Off Jill - Strawberry Gashes
From the 90s! Man you're ancient Julia Kent sounds quite interesting..will have to check it out...with the sounds of airports it reminded me of an amazing album by Vangelis called "The City" Jack Off Jill-love Song has got my attention! Thanks for the referrals...always nice to expand the music library!
Strange, my version of (Like) Linus has a demo version of Teething on it, but it's also on the single for 7 Words, the album Anger, Back To School has a live version of it, Got Milk? has it, The Ultimate Demo Collection has it... all of which I've got. =oP But it was originally on the Crow 2 - City Of Angels OST. =o)
Damn it, I thought I had every song... oh well, that's even cooler I guess you also have the EPs of Crosses and Team Sleep. Chino Moreno it's a beast!
i'm so ashamed but i'm actually watching the gangnam psy ft. hyuna (not the original psy video but the duet with hyuna) on repeat for the past hour or so. because hyuna is a sexy pikachu.. not much of a singer but who cares about such a minor detail
Just listened and watched on YouTube Jack Off Jill- Love song...quite an amazing cover of The Cure..sent chills up my spine when she let her voice go into overdrive in a controlled scream of "I will always love you" Strawberry Gashes is quite good Nineties alt music is quite something compared to now! Julia Kent's Schiphol is amazing... I really liked Arlanda set to the flight and migration of Canada geese and gulls! I have never heard of her until today and I learned that she's a New York based musician but was born in Vancouver Canada! Yay Canada!!!!
Yeah, she use to play for Rasputina... But I love what she's done solo. Zoe Keating was the cello player in Rasputina, and has also done some AMAZING solo work as well. You should definitely check her out. =oD
I checked out Zoe Keating on YouTube First I watched Tetrishead....simply amazing I guess at times there's up to 16 tracks layered of cello...sublime! Escape Artist- great to watch her playing and recording to her laptop recording program... Amazing when she taps on the back of her cello..it sounds like a heart beating The Optimist is great shimmering and beautiful... I really like this one Will have to check her out more I had heard of Rasputina via my niece Great to talk music with you.. Any time It's one of my greatest passions I've done some recording of my own compositions in the past I'm self tought guitar and I've studied voice for quite sometime Great to share with ya! Thanks
