Even though some people could consider me a music snob if they saw my music collection I'm also not afraid to say I like pop music. Hell, I think the art of making something catchy that stays with you for days on end is something only the most skilled producers can achieve. Like all genres there are good artists and bad artists but strictly speaking about female pop artists Kylie Minogue has some amazing production on her songs, for example.
I'll admit to being bit of a music snob. I don't dislike most pop music, most of it is ok, and I do like a good catchy song, it's mostly the fans of these artists who obsess over them to ridiculous degrees, like Beliebers, or some Rihanna fans (I've met a few who are scarily obsessed). I know so many pop fans who are so closed minded about music, and some who refuse to listen to anything I recommend because they assume it'll be "screamo" or boring, when really I listen to very little music with screaming in it. Whilst I may be a bit snobby I'll listen to most suggestions that people give me and i'll give most bands/singers a chance. Anyway, right now I'm listening to North American Scum by LCD Soundsystem
