He can brag because he's made catchy, clever songs in the past. Right now, his lyrics are about nothing but calling out the haters and talking about how he beat his addiction, which is great and all, but shouldn't be the topic of every damn song. Him, Dr. Dre, and Diddy-Dirty Money (or whatever he's called these days) aren't bringing anything new to the table, while other rappers are actually coming out with songs I wanna listen to. Where're hits like 3 AM, Lose It, skits like Stan, and My Name Is? I don't know his discography all too well, but I can spot the change. And seriously? Bruno Mars? His chorus doesn't go with the song at all.
I know what you mean with Eminem getting repetitive, but I still like him. Lol, Dr. Dre has had under five new songs since..how many years ago? What rappers are you listening to anyways? Good music doesn't always sell, especially rap. These guys have to cater to the public. It sucks that so many rappers are getting caught up in the pop revolution though.
Has anyone listened to Eminems Despicable? Its really old, but i still listen to it regularly. Cant believe that was a freestyle.
The line "Nicki Minaj I wanna stick my penis in your anus" from fast lane had me laughing so much when i first heard it.
Listen to Yellowcard if you haven't yet... By FAR the best pop punk band I've ever heard, especially anything off of Ocean Avenue And I feel so out of place saying that I'm listening to Cloud Connected by In Flames... The only metalhead in a sea of rap/hip hop fans
Been listening to Yellowcard for years haha. Right now I'm really into Man Overboard, The Wonder Years, and The Dangerous Summer. All amazing bands.
Oh well if you need someone to help get you into metal just hit up me or Booch, possibly Balu' too. We always have some good stuff to share, so just ask. Otherwise just look up the stuff I post here, like... NP: Suicide Silence - Destruction of a Statue
