The sweet interplay between Iglesia's internal torment caused by the materialistic pleasures tempting his spirituality are only emphasized by the gentle, sweeping chorus that makes your heart beat and your curiosity be piqued. As of late, I got Foster the People's debut album, Cults' debut album, Danger Mouse's new collaboration with Daniele Luppi, along with another one of his side projects, the self-titled Broken Bells album, and some Cold War Kids and The Black Keys. Surprisingly, I found some of this on the iTunes top ten charts under Alternative. It's worth mentioning that I saw Manchester Orchestra and Cage the Elephant live a couple weeks back. No Rest for the Wicked and Shake Me Down live... wow, just wow.
Oh man, Ive loved that song since he performed it on Colbert... I actually have the whole album but Ive been too busy to listen to it. Ive been unable to stop listening to "Full Clip" and "Just to get a Rep" by Gang Starr
The album is pretty amazing, i've just started getting into him, so i only have that and Food and Liquor. What do you think of his comments on Obama?
How to Love-Lil Wayne This shit is my jam right now. His album is dropping in a bit, and I hope it's full of songs like this. Definitely a step up from his mediocre rapping.
Well on Colbert, Lupe says that he believes in always questioning power so I can't tell if his comments just stem from that or if like a lot of people he just doesn't believe Obama's foreign policy is really all the different from Bush's I've seen the argument made that Obama definitely has a different tone to the way he's confronting foreign policy, but the actual policy itself is pretty much the same. I personally don't have an opinion either way cause I don't think I'm well enough informed on the matter.
YES ME TOO! I bought it from iTunes right before running and while I was running I was disappointed. I was like "WTF is this!?" I like listening to rap while running so I was pretty upset. However, later I listened to it and I loved it. Such a good song; I'm surprised Wayne has a good voice. Anyways I'm listening to: How to Love Fast Lane Lasers (been listening to this for the past 3 months) Dirty Work (ALL TIME LOW IS FREAKING AWESOME!)
Dude, hell yeah. Hip-hop/R&B/Rap is all I listen to. Can't wait for The Carter IV album. Lasers by Lupe Fiasco? That whole album balls hard. Fast Lane is a great one, awesome to see Eminem still working on stuff with other MCs..hoping he's up for another mixtape/album release sometime soon. Lol, don't like ATL or any other bands xP. But yeah, when I first heard Lil Wayne singing like that, it was a WTF moment. Lol.
Hell: The Sequel (Deluxe Edition) by Bad Meets Evil. Holy f**king shit. Eminem and Royce for the f**king win. Their album just dropped. So much win, oh my goodness. "Lighters" from that album is the best song I've heard in a long time.
Yeah, I agree, what made me most angry was the whole "you can't insult the president" as if he is above it, or even "he has 2 young children" like he didn't know that before he took the job... Lasers has some good rapping, but (as he's said) it's so much a product of his record label, he really tried to work against it. Lil' Wayne is someone i really can't stand, not completely sure why, it's partly his voice and I don't think he's really that skilled, technique wise. Yeah, it's pretty amazing, i haven't heard the whole thing but i'll probably get it soon
