Depends what your going to do with it. It also depends on the rest of your system. If you get an awesome new video card, and put it together with an extremely old CPU, your not going to get good results.
And this is why I stick to consoles. I frickin' hate having to upgrade just to play games. Eventually, you have to switch out the card and the computer.
