@First sentence: Just gave a good link for that.

@Second sentence: The Bible has proved to be accurate. Here's a good read on why it's accurate: http://www.christiananswers.net/q-eden/edn-t003.html

xD I mean in keeping with the thread. I believe that Adam and Eve brought sin into the world.

lol, CHRISTIANANSWERS.NET [NOTE] THIS IS NOT PROPOGANDA [NOTE]

The first few paragraphs turned me off so badly. I feel the arrogance irradiating out from my computer. To tell the truth the language is so ridiculous, I have no clue what the Bible means half the time.

"■Roundness of the earth (Isaiah 40:22)
■Almost infinite extent of the sidereal universe (Isaiah 55:9)
■Law of conservation of mass and energy (II Peter 3:7)
    ■Hydrologic cycle (Ecclesiastes 1:7)
■Vast number of stars (Jeremiah 33:22)
■Law of increasing entropy (Psalm 102:25-27)
■Paramount importance of blood in life processes (Leviticus 17:11)
    ■Atmospheric circulation (Ecclesiastes 1:6)
    ■Gravitational field (Job 26:7)
    "

I just took a sec to read through those. I find it funny, actually.
    Law of conservation of Mass:
"But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."
I don't see it? They are kept in store, could be interpreted as it almost.

    Lots of stars:
"As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me."

    So stars are heaven, apparently.

    Gravity:
"He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing."

Yes, because they couldn't possibly thinking of anything else that "stretcheth out the north". Yep, Earth's own gravity keeps it in orbit, too.

    The Infinite Universe;
"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."

I require a translation. I'm harboring the delusion that they think that the heavens are bigger than the earth and some shit about ways and thoughts.

    Roundness of the Earth:
"It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:"

Too bad the Earth is techincally a oval (it counts). The Earth is a circle. Circles are flat (this is acutally amusing to me at 1am).

Have you read and thought about these? I have trouble understanding, it may have to do with sleep deprivation. The atmospheric circulation thing was pretty good, though. Also, if they can see the future, why the hell are they so vague about it? If you make 4,000 vague predictions, eventually one of them will end up being right.

    g2g sleep

I don't see how you can have a proper discussion about something if you can't see what the other person is talking about- you should read the entire article, and then tell me what you think. Besides, it wasn't that long :p.

    Anyways, goodnight. :)

The massacre of my brain cells was good enough for me to stop reading that shit

But hey, for you? Anything. Yep I just finished the article.

I like the disclaimer it has after the Scientific Accuracy.
"These are not stated in the technical jargon of modern science, of course, but in terms of the basic world of man's everyday experience; nevertheless, they are completely in accord with the most modern scientific facts."
Summary: These aren't true by today's standards so don't go around disproving them, because no matter what you say, we won't listen.

Then a paragraph of vague assertions and stuff about how only those who spend their life studying the Bible can understand its maths and structurez.

So what did you want me to see?

Funny how it all works out perfectly in order to twist the story around any slight hint of doubt, huh? If God were real, there would be loads of doubt, and you wouldn't be able to talk your way out of it with carefully prepared phrases. The fact you can makes it sound like a fairytale that's been carefully molded throughout the years to pull in all the non-believers and create an airtight ball of lies.

There you go Lombardo, it's back :)

Wait, so the dude that allowed sin to be created is helping us out by taking the sin his followers?
Why didn't he just not let sin be created in the first place?

I'm not trolling. That's my entirely logical theory on why Christians say the things they say. How dare you disrespect my views on the church.

Good job at ignoring the issue there btw, that's exactly what I'm talking about.

  20. Electricity isn't something that just exists and must "live" somewhere. It is the product of a reaction. It simply ceases to be when the thing making the reaction ceases to function, much like fire is simply the product of a reaction (rapid oxidation of a fuel source) and ceases to exist when its fuel source is taken away or depleted.
