I feel the need to resurrect this thread. I'm currently listening to Avenged Sevenfold's City of Evil from beginning to end. I'm about halfway through or so, and although it may not be as amazing as Waking the Fallen (and I doubt that anything will be), it's one insane album.
I actually haven't heard the whole thing yet. I've heard about 5 songs, but they were all amazing. God Hates Us, Fiction, and Nightmare I think are my personal favorites so far, not to say that the other two I heard weren't amazing as well.
iv download a reggae cd today. "bright side of life" by rebelution. i dig their work.. if im feeling down cause of the drugs/pain.. i slap some reggae on and im feeling the music and life is all right. "courage to grow" is a good record from the same band too. chris.
I just realized today that The Devil Wears Prada released a new EP this month, so I'm listening to that right now, and it's incredible. And I just realized that it's all about zombies (hence the name Zombie EP), making it all the more amazing.
I just recently downloaded Darkest Hour's "Deliver Us" album. Kicking myself for not doing so sooner when it came out back in 2007. Any Melodic Death Metal fans should download this album immidiately. It's so awesome... Songs like Doomsayer, A Paradox with Flies, and Fire in the Skies just make me want to grab my guitar and jam out.
Thanks for the tip! Awesome cover art, it's by the dude in Baroness, he does theirs as well. I really like his style.
I have the song Sanctuary on my iPod, and I must say, that is one awesome song. I'll give the rest of the album a listen sometime. And the Zombie EP is just.. incredible so far. Anyone here with atleast a slight interest in this sort of music needs to listen to it now.
Yeah he also did Pig Destroyer Artwork too, his artwork is pretty freakin rad I must say. That is a bad ass song, but it is only the tip of the iceburg. That whole album just gives me the willies. LMAO
The Limousines - Get Sharp Awesome album. If you like Passion Pit or Crystal Castles, you should definitely check them out. They're relatively unknown right now and deserve some attention.
