I've been trying to pair my iPhone with as many Bluetooth objects as possible, so I tried pairing it with my Tapwave Zodiac and N-Gage QD, and they do communicate and try to pair, but then it asks me for a passcode on those devices, then throws the same thing towards to the iPhone (asking passcodes for the other devices).

So what is the Bluetooth passcode for the iPhone? Anyone know what the passcodes for the N-Gage QD and Tapwave Zodiac are, by any random chance? :p

  2. Generally there are two ways Bluetooth devices use passcodes:

    1) Both devices are capable of entering passcodes, in which case the device to be paired will usually create one and display it for you to enter on the device it's to be paired with.

    2) The device to be paired has no means of showing a passcode, or is not set up to generate and display one. In these cases, the passcode is always 0000, at least with every BT device I've ever run across.

There's a third way I get often with mobile phones, both devices simultaneously ask for passcodes and there is no set number. You can enter anything you like as long you put the same number on each device.

Will a bluetooth microphone (headset) connect to the iPod Touch?
