It's not every day you get asked such a simple question, but that is just what I want to know. What apps do you want to see? Whether they be Utility Apps, Games, or simply for Entertianment. Feel free to post here OR PM me with anything you want to see because I am going to poll all of it up and try to make some of the stuff in the Dev Team my friend and I started. We want to make some things that people really want but haven't been able to find yet and I figured the best place to ask the people is to simply ask the people. So of course, why would I not ask the TouchArcade community? Rules to what I am asking: Please make this realistic. Something that is possible on the iDevices currently/will be possible on the current models with 3.0 So what do you want to see made that hasn't been out yet or not out in a form that pleases you? Thanks
ummm, i like the idea of gemcraft or the last stand (armorgames), they r both quaility games and attack for the dead sucked so it would be nice to have a port!
I wan't to see a decent FPS with controls that work well, good graphics and online multiplayer. Also, preferably a FPS set in either WW2 or today (i.e -iraq, afghanistan etc). I'm not to keen on the futuristic/sci-fi FPSs.
I know what I don't want: MMOs. What I DO want are some quality FPSs and some quality RPGs. None of that "CoI" stuff or "D&H". I'm talking about the quality we're seeing in Assassin's Creed and Zenonia.
"You know what I want, what I really, really want? I'll tell ya what I want, what I really really want" LOL, couldn't resist. I want 1) a good, unique racer. Trackmania, preferably, but if you can get something fun on the iPhone, I'll be happy 2) a fighter along the lines of Street Fighter but not Street Fighter per se, bring a little Kung-Fu to the table 3) A platformer where the main character has superpowers Temporarily fly, solid laser, not the star wars ones, telekinesis...
Wow. Thanks for all the replies to the thread everyone! To be honest I wasn't sure if I should expect a lot of people to interact! Keep em coming and trust me when I say that everything that is suggested here we are going to consider. It's all a matter of whether we will be able to pull it off well enough to satisfy everyone. If we don't think we can make something well enough we don't wanna bog down the App Store with a junk app. Also, just a reminder, I know this is a site for games and trust me I love this place and use it for all of my iGaming news, but if you want an app that's like more of an entertainment app or a Utility app then don't hesitate to throw it into the conversation!
are you new to game developing becouse if so we might want to stop saying 3d games, becouse im pretty sure its gonna be really hard to make a good 3d for your first game...
Well, to be honest, yes. We are fairly new. BUT, we're trying to get ideas really. We already have some more long-term type of plans for a couple of 3D games and we don't mind hearing about 3D games you would like, it could give us ideas for the ones we are planning on doing, or maybe even help some other developers that look at this thread. We hope to someday be good enough to make really high quality online games and such, but for now we will mostly focus on games that are 2D (and some that are 3D so still keep posting them if you have them) with single player and maybe local area network multiplayer. Thanks again everyone! We've already gotten some inspiration from this thread! Keep it up!
Battle for Wesonth. I'm not sure if anyone has heard of it. http://www.wesnoth.org/ It's a fantasy turn base tactical strategy game similar to Uniwar but with a lot more depth. The dev said there are no plans of them doing the port but anyone is welcome to pick it up them selves and port it.
Lol I just see this "What is it that you want" and right under it is Censorship's name... I'd like N+
I'd like to see some more platformers in the vein of New Super Mario Bros. or Kirby Super Star Ultra(both for DS). Kirby Super Star Ultra site: http://www.kirbykirbykirby.com/ New Super Mario Bros. site: http://mario.nintendo.com/ Both are in my top five list of DS games.
