Still waiting for my store to get the 3rd gens in. In the mean time, I've been doing some research on protective cases. I have my eye on the Speck CandyShell and the SwitchEasy Rebel Touch. But I'm curious as to what the denizens of the TouchArcade forums are using as thier means of protection.
I'm using a Speck See-Thru case with a Golla music bag. http://www.izillapod.com/images/speck_seethru_black.jpg http://i1.lelong.com.my/UserImages/Items/0903/23/[email protected]
none! it just doesn't feel right playing it with a case. i don't mind a few scratches on the back, and the touch screen is scratch proof, so we're golden.
The touchscreen is not really scratch proof. I have two small scratches on my iPod touch. Anyway, I use this:
yeah mine rolls around in a backpack, in my pocket with my keys, gets dropped, etc. no scratches. i also have a no questions asked warranty waiting for usage on a 4th gen ipod cough cough...
No case, however that will likely change soon as for some reason, only recently have I begun to get scratchs on it. Weird.
Before I used a Speck Pixelskin, but I sold that when I sold my iPod 2nd gen. I have a third gen iPod coming in the mail with a SwitchEasy Colors case.
DLO Leather iPod Touch case If you flip the cover back part way it stands up in landscape mode (or portrait mode without cables plugged in.) Have had it since this summer, it has held up well. I've dropped it four times, twice onto a cement floor, and it's done its job well.
Wow, wasn't expecting so many replies with pics! Whats the name of that particular case? The design is interesting. Does it come in other colors?
Yeah, it's a really nice case design - Gotta love Belkin and their silicon cases. It's called the Sonic Wave Two-Tone Silicone Sleeve for iPod touch (2nd Gen) and you can view the colours at the link below. I believe they have the same design for the iPhone as well. http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=463089
this is a contour case. i like it, its done well. divided in half, slide lock on left hand side. back is see through. only prob is stuff gets stuck under the clear parts on front and causes scratches, but if u have a screen cover on its no prob
