Hi, I'm thinking of getting an Iphone 4S case that's not too bulky, but can provide decent protection. Which of the following cases would you get? If you have any other cases to suggests please post the name or link . Thanks. Otterbox Universal Defender: http://www.amazon.com/OtterBox-Universal-Defender-Silicone-Plastic/dp/B004N7EY5S/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1318283395&sr=8-12 Speck Universal CandyShell: http://www.amazon.com/Speck-Products-SPK-A0313-Universal-CandyShell/dp/B005D0OYW2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1318283536&sr=8-1 Speck CandyShell Moonsicle: http://www.amazon.com/Speck-SPK-A0334-CandyShell-MoonSicle-Verizon/dp/B004PANZI0/ref=sr_1_34?ie=UTF8&qid=1318283587&sr=8-34 Splash VAPOR: http://www.amazon.com/splash-VAPOR-Slim-Fit-iPhone-Verizon/dp/B004J15ITE/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1318283644&sr=8-13 Griffin Survivor: http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-Survivor-Extreme-Duty-Case-iPhone/dp/B004R97CXI/ref=pd_cp_cps_0 EDIT: Sketch Titanium: http://www.amazon.com/SKECH-812965011850-Shine-Case-iPhone4/dp/B00493ETZG/ref=sr_1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1318285221&sr=1-3 Do you think this one is worth putting into consideration?
Number two or number four, and by all means avoid number five, unless you want me to find you on the streets and point and laugh at you for having a case that closely resembles something that Tonka would make for a Kids Toy Construction set.
I like the look of number 3 the best. It reminds me of portal. In fact I'm almost tempted to buy one and stick an aperture science sticker on the back
otterbox no doubt. I know tons of people with them and they love them. Its almost becoming a new trend
I have been seeing them more and more lately as well, but I can't for the life of me figure out why. They just look so... bleh. Speck has always done me well in terms of Hardware Safety, with a equally satisfying look.
That's the one I use and I really like it, but yes it's very bulky. I even went so far as to seal it all up with black rtv silicon to make it almost waterproof. If it was yellow and black like a Tonka toy, I think that'd be pretty sweet lmao For the OP, if you're wanting something that's not too bulky I'd definitely take it off your list though ;-)
Otter box is awesome, saved my 4 from a snow/puddle, but it ain't exactly sleek. Even given that, I'd buy another in a heartbeat.
I'd go with the Splash VAPOR because the others just look damn hideous imo. This one is pretty nice as well.
If you ares serios about protecting your phone I think the best case maker is tech21 nobody else has the rights to use the d30 material but I also think leather works pretty well.
Depends there is a band you can buy from them that wouldn't help the back much but they do make cases that protect the back as well. http://tech21.uk.com/products-mobile-iphone-igel-4.html I think it's a very impressive technology but if you are buying something for style as well maybe they aren't the best. It's probably the expensive option I just think it's really cool stuff.
I recently got a gen 2 lifeproof case and I'm liking it so far. It's sold at best buy too, so you can take a look at it before making a decision. http://www.lifeproof.com/lifeproof-store/apple-cases/iphone-4-g2 It may not be the iphone case for everyone. For the moment, I've tested waterproofing and shockproof and it works well in those areas (as long as you close the case properly and check the case for openings every time you drop it on the ground or in water). Somethings I didn't like was slightly diminished sound, a glossy and slightly hard to see screen (just turn up the brightness a bit more and everything is peachy) and slightly diminished touchscreen (I think it's because the case keeps an air pocket via a slight rise screen from the surface of the iphone screen to dirtproof it so you need to press a bit harder). Other than that, I found no noticeable difference in using a regular iphone case. There's two types of lifeproof cases, make sure you get the gen 2 (it has bumpers at the side where the mute and volume buttons are) because it's an improvement over the gen 1 case in turns of protection (the side bumpers) and a better responsive screen.
I wish I could see what the top and bottom of their cases/bands look like. My headphones' L-shaped plug is not happy with most cases, but I'm happy with my headphones!
Stuff those ive got the Griffin Reveal so everyone can see i have a white one Although i have an Otterbox for my 3GS and its awesome
My first iPhone case was a SwitchEasy CapsuleRebel. I bought it strictly for the look of it and it was a piece of crap. Within six months it was worn out and stretched. I then bought an Otterbox Defender and I've used the same case for over a year now. I didn't like the screen on it so I cut it off and I use my own matte screen. They are a tad clunky but I wouldn't trust any other case. If you go to Best Buy they will let you try one on before you buy it.
