Holy cow! istopmotion, more like "isthreadreaper". The dead should stay dead *sobs in the corner*. Metallica shmallica, everyone knows [some other generic "metal" band] is betta ...
I don't have a bias. Either one can be great in the right hands. Electric can be downright mind blowing in the right hands (Hendrix on acoustic just isn't the same).
The way I look at it, acoustic is much harder to play. You really have to "hit the note" properly. Electric lets you be off a little bit with no repurcussions. You also have to press down on the string a lot harder on an acoustic. And the sound is soooo much sweeter... Anyone who's listended to acoustic Dead over electric Dead must agree... Acoustic CSNY (please tell me you've listened to 4 Way Street) is just sweetness to the ears...
Acoustic is the way to go IMO. I'm very comfortable with tuning as I play multiple stringed instruments so that's not a problem. When you're at a party or with friends it's just great to pick up and acoustic guitar or play a piano.
Piano and Cello I played cello for four years, but had to stop because it was too expensive. I now play piano.
I think playing piano can be manly, as I play. Just depends on how people know you as a person. How long have you played?
I played piano long time ago. Strange thing is, is that I played a freinds drum kit and as soon as I started playing it I could get a good beat going etc.... and it was the first time I have ever played the drums. Sad thing is, is that it didnt have double Bass pedals....
