What happened to the TA philosophy thread?

I'm pretty sure it was considered 'spam' or something, I dunno. I think that thread gave Robot a time-out :/

 

Robot was put into timeout and his threads were deleted.

 

What if...robot was another defred?

 

TheEvilRobot was put into time out?

Jeez, that seems to be the fate of everyone who joins this dark part of the TA world.

He posted at rate of 100 posts per day what do you expect

No warnings in such a case. Mods used to warn and give infractions back then, but it's not common today.
Since everybody should be able to read the forum rules, today (based on my perception) it works like:

1. maybe a warning (in case of minor rule breaches)
2. time-out
3. banned

But I guess it's different from mod to mod, how he handles a situation.

 

I don't understand what happened to TheEvilRobot. I suppose its not my business, but if someone's willing to explain, could they?

 

He spammed too many threads, as Squarezero just said. He was sent on "vacation" for a few days without the chance to log into tA. He is banned for a certain amount of time, not permanently.
What's not understandable here?

 

Well, I assume he was spamming with bad intentions? Advertisements?

 

He opened too much senseless nonsense threads.

Oh, and you don't need to have bad intentions. Putting up 2 or 3 nonsense thread in one day can get you banned.
Spamming in general can make you lose your permission to post on tA.

Oh, I see. I've read the rules before and read them again to get a recap, thanks for the link. I didnt realize that you could post a few nonsense threads and get a time out for it.

 

This is why all the old members left and the general consensus is the forum has gone to hell.

 

What was the previous consensus? The vibe on TA is usually mostly good compared to other gaming forums. Kids, morons and trolls are on every site sadly

Well, I guess that our "new member generation" is called "The Toddler Gang" by some other members for a reason.
