Came here to say the same exact thing. Like to the tee. They are both beyond Feasable on the iDevice.

It would be cool to see torchlight ported over.

I wonder how much detail would have to be sacrificed.

    Did anyone say Neverhood yet?

Any old point and click games seem like they'd be perfect on iOS

And that's all I need. But if I had to list a few others...

    -Final Fantasy X
    -Chrono Trigger
-Grand Theft Auto III/Vice City/San Andreas

And I can't really think of much else. I'm pretty happy with what we have, and aside from MGS 1 and 2 and the rest of the Phoenix Wright games, I can't think of much else I'd kill for on my iPhone.

Edit: Just remembered the first two Fallout games... I'm ashamed of myself for ever forgetting those. And y'know what, I'll throw Diablo 2 on there while I'm at it. And don't forget Monolith's Blood series, with the first being by far the best 2.5 FPS during the time. I absolutely loved that one.

Anyone have any idea which old pc 3d game engines the ios would be capable of running without having to rework?

I know there's a Quake 3 port project for jailbroken phones, but I don't know the difficulty of converting it.
I would think that since that was possible though then quake engines before that should be able to run no problem.

I know the newer unreal engine is running on the iphone, but hasn't it been tweaked a lot to specifically run on that device?
Could the unreal and unreal 2 engines be ported over to the iphone as well?

If those engine were commercially ported over then that could possibly pave the way for ports of games that built off of those engines.

I'm sure older pc gamers would love portable versions of the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series.

I'd personally love to see Clive Barker's Undying from the unreal engine and Advent Rising using unreal 2.

    A man can dream...

I'd love to see NFS: High Stakes and Porsche Unleashed ported. I loved those racing games, and the graphics shouldn't be a problem seeing as they are old.

I would also like to see DOOM 3 ported, that would be an ambitious project but I think that ios can handle.

Oh, and Fate would make a great port. Not torchlight, sorry guys but I like Fate way better, even though they are basically the same since one ripped off the other. Hate on me all you want :)

Do you think fate is better than dungeon hunter 2? Also what is your opinion of the divine divinity games and the untold legends games for psp?

I'd definitely love to see Bioshock. I read about 2 and a half years ago that it was coming to idevices. I Wonder what ever happened to that.

Bioshock would be crazy hard. Unless you "water" down the visuals.
Haha see what I did there? I would love to see spryo the dragon ported. Or maybe final fantasy crystal chronicles.

Do you have black ops we can play psn tOgether.

I would love to see some more old-school FPS ported - Blake Stone, Strife, Cybermage, Heretic, Hexen, Hexen 2, Quake, Quake 2, SiN, and No One Lives Forever would work great on an iDevice.

I like torchlights graphics more and the reason fate and torchlight are so similar is because Travis Baldree worked on both games
