I remember there being a thread like this a while back, but I couldn't find it when I searched for it. Either way, I was just wondering what games everyone's playing right now. For me, it's: PS2: Persona 4, Unreal Tournament, Extermination PSP: Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Vagrant Story (PSOne classic) DS: Dementium II, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin GBA: Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Eternal Duelist Soul, Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, Metroid Fusion PC: M.U.G.E.N., Minecraft, Diablo II
You still play your GBA? Anyways, DS: not really playing anything at the moment. iDevice: LOTS AND LOTS OF GAMES!!! (LEGO HP, Kami Retro,) Xbox 360: COD: Black Ops and Kinect Sports.
Yeah man, as old as the GBA is, I still love quite a few games on it. Some I play for nostalgia reasons (especially the Yugioh ones... I spent too many hours playing that as a kid). I'm actually pretty bummed Gamestop is going to stop selling GBA games after the 3DS comes out... There's still 1 left I have to get before they do. And yeah, I didn't even bother to mention my 360 (not playing it right now) or my iDevice (too many games to mention).
Not too long ago I decided to play my Yu-Gi-Oh! GBA games. I really got it handed to me, too. I lost some of the cards that came with the games. I've been playing Dragon Quest VI and (you guys knew this was coming) Pokemon White, both on the DS. What GBA game are you trying to get, SRD?
It wasn't too popular, but I used to have one called Sword of Mana, which was actually somewhat of a sequel to Secret of Mana... INSANE game. I got over halfway through years back before I lost the cartridge. I finally got back the other one I lost years back yesterday (The Eternal Duelist Soul), and other than that I only have to get myself a copy of Metroid: Zero Mission, although I'm completely fine with only playing Fusion. I was a bit careless with my games back then... And God... It was only inevitable that Pokemon would pop up somewhere... I feel like the only one who isn't into those games. It's a cool concept and all, but it feels a bit too... Childish. I know it's a bit ridiculous of an argument, but I just can't seem to bring myself to play them anymore. They went downhill (for me at least) after Gold/Silver/Crystal. To me it feels like the Persona games have a similar concept (defeating enemies to gain creatures to use in battle), but nails it much better and has a much, much more engaging story. Either way, trying to get a hold of the Shin Megami Tensei games for the DS as well.
Random Dude, if you are still into Gameboy, get Astro Boy Omega Factor and Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town, then come back and thank me for introducing you to 2 of the best handheld games of all time. As for me, I'm still playing Red Dead Redemption and preparing for the 3DS launch, Mortal Kombat in April, and LA Noire in May.
I heard Astro Boy was a really good game (even though I couldn't get into the show). As for Harvest Moon, I've never liked the whole farming gameplay of them. I have the original for the SNES (it came with a ton of games my friend gave me with the SNES). It reminds me of stuff like Farmville, which I couldn't play without getting really bored. I'll definitely check out Astro Boy sometime though.
You... you... you cottenheaded ninnymungins! (Excuse my language here, guys) Gold was my favorite, though; I will give you that.
Nice movie reference there. And I'm not saying the games are bad... I'm just saying I can't bring myself to play any of them after Crystal. All the best Pokemon are in that generation... After that they started getting pretty... whacked out. I'll never stop playing Gold though... Too many memories of that game, and it's actually pretty fun.
I would still play Gold, but after reading online about the game's battery dying and losing all of my very first Pokemon ever, I just can't bring myself to do it. The first two generations were the most creative. Have you considered getting HeartGold or SoulSilver?
Today? I'll be playing some... Battleheart and Aralon on my iPod. Dead space on my iPad. Enslaved and Red Dead Redemption on PS3. I love Sundays. Within the next week I plan on finishing Darksiders, Enslaved, Dark Void, and possibly Half Life 2 and crysis.
Yep, I just got Ensalved from Amazon for only 15 bucks. I played the demo and really really enjoyed it (even if it was really simple and easy). Excited to start that the next week.
I've considered it, especially SoulSilver (since I never got Silver as a kid, even though my cousin accidentally got 2 copies), but I think old school Gold will suffice for now. All that in one week? o_o I'll try to finish at least one game this week (probably going to end up being Advance Wars, since I'm flying through that game right now)... If I'm lucky/really, really bored I might finish one or two more, but up to 5 games in one week? Man...
iDevice: Enigmo2 , :shift: 2 , Galcon Labs PS3: Red Dead Redemption (and Undead Nightmare) , Assassin's Creed :Brotherhood PC: tales of monkey island series
Haha well I just finished up a couple college classes and I'm now free with nothing to do for a week. But I'm at about 95% completion for all of those games. I just need to go in and beat the last boss on most of them. I've been distracted by AC:B, Red Dead Redemption, and Killzone 3 for the last 3 months and figured I better finish off those bad boys.
Ah, Nevermind then . I thought younger going through those games this week, but even with that sort of free time it could have been possible. The only games I've been playing today (while I'm home at least) have been a bit of Unreal Tournament and a LOT of Persona 4, and even then I don't see myself beating those games too soon.
