Instead of ports, i really like to see more renown developers porting famous titles. It's great how iOS gaming has advanced this years, and i hope they keep growing up, but just like Dead Space, i'd like to see some Dante's Inferno port (like the psp version). I don't asking for the same games from consoles; iOS (and Android) are different gaming platforms, it's a new-kind of platform and the category it's also new, and therefore the games too. But what i'm saying is that great titles like the upcoming Ravensword 2, Horn, Chaos Rings II and some others that came out this year are just a bunch of them.
I don't known how feasible it would be, and honestly, I'm mostly fishing for other like minded folks by mentioning this game, but... ROBOTIC ALCHEMIC DRIVE! also known as R.A.D.; one of the best console (PS2). Games. EVER!
Grand Turismo(from Playstation), Also World Championship Driver(from N64), Last, Twisted Metal(Playstation)
Spyro Animal crossing( not gonna happen) Accual minecraft... Borderlands Halo Cave story Lots more great games!!!
Magic: the Gathering (Shandalar) [Microprose 1997 PC] and/or Stratosphere: Conquest of the Skies [Ripcord 1998 PC]
I want to see Overblood 1 and 2 on the app store along with Tale of the Sun and Cyberia(all for the playstation)
Wish Lucasarts pulled 'whatever out' and did some iOS games Rogue Squadron would work brilliantly on iOS with touch or tilt controls
Phantasy Star Online, but I'm pretty sure it was already announced for iOS. Might be forever until we actually see it though.
Star wars knights of the old republic (Xbox classic) Halo 1 (Xbox classic) GTA:San Andreas(PS2) GTA:Vice City(PS2) The elder scrolls III:Morrowind(Xbox classic) Something like l4d2 since that cannot be ported Spyro the dragon(PS2) Spyro 2:Ripto's rage (PS2) Halo 1 is possible just dumb down the graphics and KOTOR might not be possible, but these are relatively possible rockstar said vice city and San Andreas would be possible
Not for the iPod i assume? and some other games i would love to see are Might and Magic 6 The Mandate of Heaven Heroes of Might and Magic 4 and/or 5 Snake Rattle 'n' Roll Resident Evil 1 2 3 and Code Veronica Midnight Resistance Final Fantasy 6 7 8 and 9 and Phantasy Star 3 and 4
The company that developed Spyro was purchased by Glu, so don't count on it (I wonder if the Spyro dev team worked on the Glyder series?). Morrowind? I don't think that iOS allows storage space to be set aside as a memory cache, which would be necessary to run Morrowind. The GUI would be a nightmare.
SNES Shadowrun? Have you played Genesis Shadowrun? To each his own I guess. Everyone has their own favorites. I'de love to see Might and Magic 4+5 (Cloud of Xeen, when combined with Darkside of Xeen, created an interlinked game, the World of Xeen...which was also released on a Cd rom with voice acting).
I would rather see ios-centric ports of overlooked and mostly forgotten games, regardless of the original platform. Then again, I'm the type of gamer who thinks everything stinks nowadays There was an awesome C-64 game that were a lot like Jumpman, but you played as a wizard. Actually, I think there were 2 of them. I'de love to see those ported. Anything and everything by Warren Spector. Black & White would probably port well. Sure, it was overhyped (what post 80's Peter Moleneux game hasn't been?), but it was still fun and perfectly suited, IMO, to touchscreens. Betrayal at Krondor. Panzer General. Allied General. People's General. Panzer General 2. Pacific General. Hacker. The Syndicate 1+2. Of possible, Jagged Alliance 2. If not, Jagged Alliance. The complete catalogs of Bullfrog, Micropros. New World Computing, Bit Bros. EPYX. That giant mech game for the Xbox which I couldn't afford because the controller cost 200 bucks. The complete Virtual On series. Parappa the Rappa'. Those Playstation and Playstation 2 games where you had to catch hyper-intelligent monkeys with nets. Mr. Mosquito. Warship Gunner. Ring of Red. Darkstone. Hardwar, one of the most overlooked Elite style games. It wouldn't be a port but Shenmue 3 A whole lot more.
Definitely more Star Wars games. LucasArts has a ton of potentially great ports, I'm amazed they aren't dipping their feet into the iOS scene. Also, I'd really love to see Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, a PSP game, see a iOS release. Its controls were very intuitive and situation-specific, it would be perfectly possible for that to make it to te AppStore. I'd also be interested in Max Payne 2 and another Mortal Kombat game.
