Finished episode 1 of Life is Strange and enjoyed it, in some ways it feels a bit young than in other ways it feels more mature than your average. Well worth a go if you like Telltale stuff but can handle more persistent pacing and being a teenage art student. World it builds feels lived in, overall I'm looking forward to seeing how it's Twin Peaks/Heavy Rain vibe concludes.
I'm currently getting hooked on Hearthstone, so I play both on PC and Android whichever is more convenient at a given time. Other than that, I'm playing Guild Wars 2 for the PC. For my PS3, I just finished Uncharted 3, had a great time, and currently playing Read Dead Redemption. I will play Uncharted 2 afterwards...people tell me it's better than UC3. For my XBOX360 I play...uh...Kinect games,Just Dance 2015 and Dance Central lol. Basically I play it with my daughter.
I downloaded FSO yesterday and dug my old copy of Freespace 2 out of its grave in the cellar. An' now, load the engines and heat up the lasers, baby, here I come! With all this modding stuff, Freespace 2 turned into pure gold again. Besides that, I am constantly playing Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2 and Assassin's Creed IV-Black Flag as well as FarCry 4. On iOS, I still enjoy Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, GTA Chinatown Wars (yay for update!) and Scurvy Scallywags, the best match-3 (imo) on iOS. Oh, while I was digging up Freespace 2, I also found my MDK2 disc, which I installed. Dunno when, but I'll give it another playthrough.
Love them both but Radiation Island lost my interest hard after a few days of having a strong hold on me. Dying light is insane and hasnt lost my attention at all after a week plus of playing every night after work.
Do it, you can get Freespace 2 for 3-4$, then download the FSO installer and update all stuff. The Freespace games are still one of the best of their kind, especially the mission design shines. Included in the FSO installer are not only high-res gfx packs, re-worked music and sound, but also a port of the complete first Freespace game (Conflict Freespace - The Great War). Additionally, there are also mods, new missions and even whole new complete Freespace 2 campaigns as well as campaigns in the Wing Commander Saga and Battlestar Galactica universe. I can nothing but recommend that.
OK, I haven't started yet, but I bought Dragon Age: Inquisition today. I will install tomorrow. Hopefully it lives up to the hype. If it does, I guess WoW can wait a few weeks.
Just played through the second episode of Game of Thrones, wasn't really as dramatic as the first one but it does develop the plot a little again can't wait for the next one.
I was hoping for more of a climax but what they did lay out some good foundations, really enjoying playing the multiple characters.
Yeah pretty much how I felt, it was probably as good as the first episode but I was expecting a bigger ending, that said it had me playing it from start to finish without stopping and now thinking about doing it again because one of my choices bugs me now.
Agreed. Hopefully we get Borderlands Ep2 shortly, quite enjoying the episodic releases with Game of Thrones, Borderlands and Life is Strange. Reminds me of when I was a kid with my 30 cents off to pick up my 2000AD subscription. As for what I've been playing, bit burnt out on DA:I and FC4 at the moment, looking forward to The Order 1886 in a weeks time, been playing a few indies/smaller releases to fill in time. iOS Tempo - Horrid, great animation and camera shots, pretty poor everything else Modern Combat 5: Blackout - Seems fine in a lower budget CoD way, actually genuinely pretty in spots PSV Rogue Legacy - Enjoying this much more than I thought I would, has that one more go element Pix the Cat - Great arcade game, loading times are hellish but captures the essence of cabinet arcade well PS4 Destiny - Haven't played for awhile due to disappointment, shocked at how good it feels. Pretty good for drop in and play.
Just loaded up NeverWinter Nights again...... Hordes of Undertide, I think is the exact name..... In any case, pretty cool..... Also playing DA: Inquisition...... Damn I hated games that rely on WASD for moving.... But everything else seems pretty good so far.
I just lost a day to a PC game called Prison Architect I really like it, takes some learning and figuring out and in a way it's a pretty basic management sim but I lost serious track of time and it's now 3am
I got Taichi Panda for the iPad and it is surprisingly fun. I enjoy playing it, the pay model isnt as bad as one would think and it's more or less fair. Quick dungeons have never been so satisfying.
