So I've been workin at my job for the summer and I've earned a bunch of money. Now I want to spend a little bit of it to make all that time spent at work almost worth it. I was thinking I would buy the iPod 4, but then I realized, what's the point? I mean it'll just make me spend more money on games and music. So what would you do with $500?
Probably take up to 100 quid to spend, then save the rest for those moments where you see something that you suddenly REALLY want.
I'd put it into my credit cards. Not very exciting (unless virtually shuffling money online from a bank account to a credit card rubs you right) but that's what I'd do. Because paying interest sucks.
Hmmm saving it for something big... *strokes goatee* I can't think of one thing I would buy that's big actually. Stocks. I thought about that. I've been thinking about that since Fords stock was like $1.00 and I didn't buy any. Now it's $12. What a mistake. I want to buy GM stock. I'm sure go up when the volt becomes available. New iPod touch? Eh no thanks. I think I'll stick with my 2nd tip it becomes obsolete so I can't buy games anymore! Cured AppStore addiction!
Just save it. There're a ton of great games and random stuff that I'd wanna buy had I the cash. If you really wanna get something, put $50 or so aside, go to ThinkGeek and browse. There's gotta be something you'll want that relatively cheap there.
I'd probably spend it on a trip. You may need to save a little more depending on where you go though. And of course, unless you're going solo, you'll need a friend who wants to and can afford to go as well. Otherwise, buy yourself nice and save the rest
Instead of buying a new ipod for yourself, buy me one Maybe use the money for a cause you like? Buy food for a local shelter. Or give it to someone who really needs it. Maybe donate it to an organization for something?
