I have got a whole list of games that don’t work anymore. What is required for an app developer to update their app? Wondering why so many have not bothered to do so.

Probably a few reasons. One it will take a chunk of time and two the app is probably dead. No sales

Imagine you have an app out for 99p years back. No sales anymore. You make no money on it. Problem is lots of people still expect future levels and updates for their 1 dollar game. When there’s no money to be made I can see why a dev wouldn’t bother sadly

You can always contact the developers of those apps (assuming they're still around), and request a status. However, don't get your hopes up. Even if you do get a 64-bit update for a game that you spent $3 on, it's possible that it's now freemium.
