Lol, it doesn't make me look like a jerk at all, only in your eyes.

    You see, you posted this:

With no prior knowledge about the subject. You insulted without knowing what the hell you were talking about, and then I blew you up on it.

Here's something you'll learn with age:

Back your shit up when you talk trash.

The video was uncalled for? Your f*cking birth was uncalled for.

This thread remained mostly on topic and religious discussion was kept to a minimum, until you showed up.

To anyone else reading, this is the video he's talking about:

OK, well you know the gist of it. All you need to basically know is that energy cannot be destroyed.

Brain waves have been scientifically proven (using electromagnetic sensors) to be energy. Brain waves are also what constitue your personality, your actions, your consciousness.

Now, when you die, that energy has to go somewhere since energy cannot be destroyed.

Where do you think it goes? To go further into the discussion, it has been proven that no matter what, "matter" never loses it's identity. If you divide it up, scatter it all around the Universe, it'll always have the genetic blueprint of what it has been, sure, we might not be able to find a way to read it, but it's there.

So this brings me to my point: Where do you think the energy and matter are always together, the energy you used is encoded, with basically your personality. Where does this go?

It's all good, I like to hear other people's opinions too. It doesn't need to resort to name-calling for a debate to be interesting and exciting. To be honest I hated religious education in school but now I'm kind of into it... not for spiritual reasons but scientific ones, I like to see what drives humans into believing what they do and how it affects their lives. I'll stick up for what I believe in pretty strongly but I do my best not to label it as the absolute truth, the whole fun aspect of it comes from no one really knowing which person has the right answer.

Edit: unless you're Machida apparently, then you claim to "know" the answer and even considering another possibility is just outright offensive. Gotta say my favourite religious groups are the ones who know they can't prove their belief, but believe it anyway. Surely that's what belief is all about?

That video was completely uncalled for, don't even lie.

    What Kamazar basically said:

I don't normally rip on White people, but...

    KKK.

    lmao.

"God" probably wouldn't approve of those words. Maybe "God", the magical wizard, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny will all magically come together in happy land and banish you from heaven because you used naughty words. And you'll spend all of eternity being prodded in the ass by a red guy with magical horns and hooves.

Oh, how I love to annoy religious nutjobs such as yourself.

It's a good question. It's kind of hard for me to answer since I've never really studied or considered this specific question... but at first guess I'd probably liken brainwaves to a bolt of lightning, it's there one moment and (seemingly) gone the next. I can't remember exactly where the energy in lightning goes either (heat with a bit of kinetic?) but I'd probably assume the energy in brain waves does the same thing only on a much smaller scale. The energy has been transferred, but the bolt of lightning is most definitely gone.

I'd like to hear this one from someone who knows more about science than I do, so if anyone knows an article or something... preferably not too confusing.

This thread has been a good read, but that "mother****er" speech was the only part that really made me laugh.

You do realize that A) your factually incorrect, I've explained earlier that Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are commercially created, and B) you're being an asshole?

The energy from the lightning bolt is still there, but transferred to a different host. This isn't meant to be religious, just thought provoking to distract us from the flames.
