Sure is. theone1007 posted it on the last page too and actually seems to legitimately believe it was the ark. I'll leaving the flaming to you
Hard to argue? It's actually quite easy to argue, if you read my previous post. 1. The chances of 2 amino acids to come together by random chance is 1 out of 10 to the fiftieth power. 20 amino acids are needed to create one protein. 2. If even one amino acid comes together in the wrong place, it will create a black tar that does actually kills off life. 3. The earth is located in the exact place for life to exist. In the perfect spot of the solar system, galaxy, and even possibly the entire universe. 4. There are no links between species. If evolution was true, then shouldn't there be atleast one fossil find that shows a mix between a mammal and reptile? Or a bird/reptile? And don't give me Archaeopteryx as an option; there's no evidence that it was half bird half reptile 5. The geological column chart. Evolutionists believe that there are layers in the rock and each layer represents a certain time period. How do you explain the numerous numbers of fossils that are found in two layers? 6. Big Bang. Since when do explosions create and not destroy? 7. Cells. How did cells, the basic forms of life, come to be? First it would need protein, then the proteins would need to come together correctly to form the intricate parts of a cell: mitochondria, ribosomes, nucleus, cell membrane, etc. That's like saying you put the pieces of a clock on the floor and over time the clock pieces form magically together and work. 8. The bacterial flagellum. This bacteria contains a motor, a flagella, that contains over 40 parts. If even one part is missing, the motor will not work and the bacteria will be "defective". According to natural selection then, the strongest survives, this bacteria would be killed off. Evolution would say that the bacteria was formed one piece at a time, but without the other 39 pieces, the bacteria is doomed to fail.
What he posted wads pic from an article on MSNBC about the ark. That structure is actually in the mountains, and it forms a cave. The cave is made of wooden beams.
When there are so many religions each with many variations and different stories and teachings, you can't put religion alongside science. Even if you believe that many of the stories are fictional, there are many other people that believe that they are fact, or believe in completely different stories and/or a completely different religion. Whereas the vast majority of Science is universally agreed upon and there is evidence to support each theory.
Anyone wanna get back on topic now that theres a whole new thread to flame? Anyway, what I believe will happen when I die is that my soul or spirit will be released from my body, and I will remember everything from all my past lives, and go to a giant hub where all spirits go. There I will be able to choose which type of body/ species I will be next. And yes, I do think there are aliens...
Yet there are some who believe religion and science can go together, and thus you hve been proven incorrect. I feel that your main problem throughout this entire thread is that you stereotype and generalize.
I'm not. I'm just stating the facts of how Darwin's idea of evolution is flawed. And I'm not just saying that out of the blue, clearly there is a lot of scientific evidence to back it up. Vester, on the other hand, has yet to provide me with some facts for evolution. Seriously, give me a good reason to believe evolution and I'll believe it.
It's my own hypothesis... It's just what I personally want to happen, I don't have any facts what so ever.
Then why don't you remember the thoughts of your previous lives? This could be true however, and the reason humanity is increasing is because it's becoming a better place to live here, and other "spirits" know it. I call dibs on going to Pandora tho
Nice thought, I'd love it if that's true. And yes, I am sure Aliens exist. When you think about how big the universe is and how many galaxies are unknown/unexplored, there has to be other life forms.
I grew up in a catholic background for 15 years of my 18. In that time, my parents divorced and both of my siblings were thrown into depression. God had his chance.
Please tell me they look like this, I'll throw away all my beliefs to acknowledge something as awesome as this to be real:
I won't try to explain it because simply, I don't know. It's just a my idea of a perfect afterlife. @Midian I also believe in the multiverse theory, so maybe?
