You know, we actually lived together on a different planet and were forced to survive on our own. It was a pretty hard life. There, I just made it happen. That's Quantum Physics for you. I wonder what ever happened to us in that parallel universe.
But why should we believe empirical evidence when we can have someone else tell us what to think? As a bonus, we can feel superior to other people! I'm sure if many of these fundamentalists happened to be born in Saudi Arabia, they would still be their current faith. Your place of birth has nothing to do with the religion you practice. Right?
So many people think that religion is some sort of mind control or "parasite", but the truth is that religion is behind most of the compassionate social institutions that we all use. Hospitals, red "cross" in Haiti, orphanages taking care of Haitian orphans, and universities. Many of the institutions have abandoned the religious roots, but none the less- you owe religion. On another note, no one really wants religion. And I mean no one. For most of us religion is just a bunch of rules and power hungry clergy. What we really want is relationship. That is what the Bible is all about-restoring the broken relationship that man has with God. And that is what all of us crave deeply. We want to be known and loved and shown mercy and grace. An that is precisely what Jesus Christ offered. If you read the New Testament of the Bible you will see that Jesus hated the religious leaders of that day. He thought all of the power struggles and rules were ludicrous. He called people into relationship with God by forgiving and caring for and loving them. And the only way he was able to restore the relationship was because he was God. He simply called people to admit they were not God and then to put their faith in Him. So I agree, much of religion is useless and pride filled. But the part of it that reflects God's desire to recreate and love the world is useful and beautiful. And so I most definately disagree with the 1st post. We are not just "animals". We are more than that because we have souls.
Dude your stupidzzz of course you would be a muslim looking christian...where your born doesn't matter..cause god still loves every non gay non muslim life form...
just as a side note... there are some atheists that are crazy too. anyone read anything by David Icke?
As another poster said in another thread: Cat hell IS dog heaven...gay dogs, and cats have no place in the lords heart...sorry.
Man that sucks! My puppy constantly tries to suck/lick on my other dogs dick whenever he rolls onto his back and my other dog absolutely hates it.
The only point I'm getting is that you were trying to stop an argument that wasn't even happening and then you insulted me for having a reasonable discussion. You might remember it wasn't even me that used the word idiot in the first place, just about everything I've said has been respectable.
Hahaha....that's funny....suprised the dog doesn't just shrug, and let it happen...."hey wait...STOP...ST...eh....eh..well....maybe a little to the left".
So you're saying that without religion humans would have no desire to help other people? That's quite an assumption. Another one for the irony topic. Jesus recreating the very thing he despised so much, and on such an epic scale! Not so great after all, huh? You'd think being the son of God he'd be able to get religion right, but no... not even he can do it.
No hard feelings, really. I was just making a point. Obviously I didn't end it or I wouldn't be writing this. Personally, I do believe in a God, but I think religion is a bunch of crap. I'm really a minority in that sense. I've done plenty of research and questioning and I'm not entirely convinced of the big bang or that we evolved from nothing. That being said, there's a clear phycology to why most people believe in a religion. What I believe is a belief, or even a faith, but there's no religion about it and I would never look down on someone else for thinking otherwise. Even quantum physicists are now arguing that there's a layer to the universe that's not physical. That doesn't prove anything, but I think it's completely plausible. We don't know nearly as much as we think we do. I think everyone, whether you believe in a deity or nothing at all, need to be open minded about the views of others for that reason.
