Amazing I was blown away by the images of Pluto, it may have cost a lot but worth every penny. And it doesn't just help science; did you know that these amazing images of planets like Pluto that NASA captures are usually put in the public domain. I used many of them as textures in Mammoth Gravity Battles, so Nasa and Pluto are even helping make mobile games look better...
I was a kid with the first moon walk. It wasnt until the internet that i heard about the conspiracy theory about the whole moon program being faked. Interesting this exists with the New Horizon mission as well. I would have thought with the International Space station, the Mars Rover, the Hubble telescope, etc. that these theories would die off just due to the volume of space accomplishments. At some point, one has to ask what the purpose of putting out information on so many programs. So few people are interested in the space programs and fewer in NASA that a propaganda purpose (which could have been reasonable for the moon race in the 60's) just does not make sense. I think what is much more scary is the slow and steady progress of what governments all over the world are doing in the name of "safety and security" of their populations.
Unfortunately most governments are only interested in self preservation, business and/or religious interests, what's best for the population as a whole is typically secondary to that (if you're lucky). That's a throwaway generalisation, but there has been a lot of shady behaviour in the name of "safety and security" for sure.
aliens are coming it is the end of the mankind. however that cool hope it will open a all new possibilities and teach us little bit more than we already know about the universe
Yes. Two tiny objects moving at unbelievable speeds meeting across unimaginable distances... It's like shooting a bullet with another bullet from miles away. I just watched a great discussion on this subject with Stephen Colbert and Neil deGrasse Tyson. It's on YouTube. I'm not gonna link it. Should be easily located.
