I feel odd saying that I got books for Christmas! Last year I got dozens of iTunes cards totaling about £120, but this year I haven't got any. (might get one or two when more family comes over in the week) I'm not too bothered aboutthat I guess, as it's meant I got real gifts which were more exciting to open!

You really shouldn't be lifting until at least sixteen, no matter the weight. Any sort of regular weightlifting at your age can stunt your growth dramatically, not to mention any sort of other problems internally. Just wait.
Its actually 14. Injuring yourself is another story.... I'm 14 and I belong to a gym and my growth isn't stunted
Well, naturally you wouldn't see any growth change at fourteen. You're still there. But hey, it's your guys' lives. Do what you will. With a little reading, I see that as long as the strain and reps aren't too great, you'll be fine. But I honestly wouldn't put it past you guys to try and impress by trying to lift something you can't handle.
I don't want any big pumps, but you see on our school's fitness test I got 40 on 4kg lifted which was meant to, but only 15 on 6kg. So I wanna grow them a lil.

Idk.. I've been weight lifting since 15 and now I'm 5'11 at 183 pounds with 7% body fat. Probably the best decision of my life to start that young. So keep on lifting pal
