I am not especially impressed with any of them - they all look they could have some issues - but I went with the Griffen Reveal - seems like their are pretty good reviews on it even though I am not usually a Griffin fan. The incase would be an easy FTW but it is a snap on, and on youtube and other sites people talk about how their phone rattles around in the case... Anyone try any of these cases out and have some insight?
Yesterday I bought this one from Amazon. I thought about getting the Griffin Reveal but then I decided that I wanted the metalwork around the edge to be visible so I went with this translucent case. They also do it in clear/white, but I liked the look of the "smoke" grey. It hasn't been delivered yet, but it should come tomorrow.
Looks nice - but you know that there is a new program out today that you can get a free case from Apple? The link to the app is here. There are like 6 cases that Apple is offering to help with the antenna problem....
Well, I would buy it to (A) protect the iPhone 4 and (B) stop the signal loss/dropped calling and (C) for teh looks durhhhh! Sorry, I couldn't resist
If I'd get an iPhone 4 (I don't, I'm going for the HTC Desire), the iPhone 4 bumper, because otherwise I would have the deathgrip.
Currently I'm using and SGP oleophobic screen on the front, Wrapsol Matte on the back and and a white matte Lucky Labs decal on the sides. I ordered the Speck Fitted case through the free iPhone case program, but I probably won't end up using it. BTW - if you guys haven't heard of it yet, check out http://www.etsy.com/listing/52222092/iphone-4-spectra-wrap-decals-many-colors The decals are cut perfectly and are super easy to install. If you're wanting to carry your phone without a case, you might check into these. Here's a link to the Lucky Labs thread discussion at MacRumors, there are some high quality pictures of different colors that people have posted if anyone's interested http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=963858
I'll probably get the clear Belkin. The Speck cases are hideous (well, the pixel isn't terrible, but still homely), and the Snap is ugly. The clear one is the only way to do for me. It doesn't hide the beauty of the iPhone 4.
Just ordered mine from Vaja, only the best for my new iPhone4, you know, when it's available here in Canada. The wife is not too happy that I'm spending that kind of money but it's nice to get quality once in a while! Plus being able to customize the colors, type of leather and such makes it a one of a kind item, I highly recommend vaja if you don't mind spending the money. http://vajacases.com
I ordered the UltraClear NUDE case from Switcheasy since their cases are always top notch and come with extra things (screen protectors, headphone jack protector, etc).
I like my bumper a lot, although that Grove Made bamboo case looks sweet. Wish I could see one locally. I don't really have a problem dropping $100 on an awesome case if it is as awesome as it looks, I just wouldn't want to spend that much money sight unseen especially since I doubt they'd take returns on their custom laser engraved stuff.
I am getting the Griffin Reveal from the Apple program. I don't think that the bumper would allow me to put it in my currnet DLO holster that I use to carry on my belt - too bulky I think. I would love the Grove Made as well - but I just don't know how well it would hold the phone - wood changes shape with temperature and humidity changes, and so the case could come apart, or the phone start rattling in the case - and returns would undoubtledly be a problem... They sure look great though.
The wood is laminated, if it was one piece I would be worried! Still, not very shock resistant, but they do look great indeed!
