I'll add Xenosaga series and TWEWY to my list I can't get into Monster Hunter at all, I've been playing the demo and trying to like it but I can't. What a let down, was hoping I'd have something that massive to play and put a lot of hours into.
I'm probably dating myself here but I gotta add another vote for Earthbound Every few years I play through the game again! Pokemon was admittedly pretty fun too, though I have only played the original versions!
Deus Ex System Shock 2 Morrowind + Expansions + Mods Earthbound Divine Divinity Siege of Avalon GTA: San Andreas
Oblivion Fallout 3 Borderlands etc I'm not a great fan of Asian RPG games, I have never found them appealing, I just find them strange and generally messed up. The first Final Fantasy game I ever played was FF1 when it was released on the iPhone, lol (and I hated it). Western style RPG games are more my thing. (although, having said that, I did enjoy Pokemon games back in the days of the Gameboy)
And I somehow forgot 3: Earthbound (how'd I forget that?) The World Ends With You (same as above) Pokemon Gold (mostly for nostalgia factor, especially when playing it on my actual GBC, but nonetheless a good game. I admit it. A pokemon game is fun.)
For me it's Planescape:Torment-everything else, no matter how much I love it, still pales in comparison. Others I like: Fallout series, Final Fantasy series Dragon Quest Baldur's Gate KOTOR to name only a few.
Well I did play Final Fantasy XIII on a friends 360 and I hated it just as much I find all the Asian shit to be disturbing and weird. I am a strong atheist and skeptic, so that may explain why I hate anything that is stupidly unrealistic and fantasy-like.
Boktai 1, 2, 3 and Lunar Knights. If anyone doesn't know what that is (which is going to be at least 99% of you), check it out. Best GBA/DS games of all time IMO.
Lmao Asian "shit". Yeah I'm sure Oblivion is very very realistic and un-fantasy-like with its magic spells and creatures. /fail Oh well just another insignificant Asian game hater, passing by~
I have nothing against Asian rpg's myself - some of them can be big fun, like Earthbound, Soul Blazer, Secret of Mana, etc. I do have a soft spot western RPGs from about 1996-2002 - after that there have only been a few that I have enjoyed - personally I am not a fan of the direction Bethesda went in after Morrowind. I am really enjoying the European take on the genre too - the Gothic, STALKER, and Divinity series are excellent. Also forgot to mention another recent favourite - The Nameless Mod - http://www.thenamelessmod.com probably the best setting for an RPG in ages inspired by DX and classic cyber-punk. Pure excellence. Now if only someone would do this type of game in a setting inspired by William S. Burroughs.
Are you mentally retarded? Whenever you dub someone a Asian-RPG hater based on the smallest amount of evidence and act like it actually matters makes me cringe. It's like you think only ASIAN rpgs are good and everyone who says otherwise is a retard. You seriously need to deflate your head.
