if you want to wait until august for another version....then go ahead...but i will make a plug for madden 11 being great
I've only played a few races of each, but Split/Second appears to be mediocre at best. It's pretty poor graphically compared to other high profile iPhone racers, and the sound effects are laughable. The racing is unexciting and the power plays that the game is built around don't add the excitement I was hoping for. Ridge Racer is pretty good. The car physics are very strange though. It seems like you're driving on black ice or something. I think that is part of its charm though. I've never played another Ridge Racer game so it may be that the car physics are something that have been deliberately tuned that way throughout the series. It's a bit annoying that to get all the tracks and cars you have to put down another $5 for IAPs, but my first impression of it is that it's a solid and unique racer.
RR has no physics whatsoever. Pure arcade, I hate it and it was a waste of a buck back then, thought there might be an update, but ... wast of 40+MB on my device, but somehow many guys and gals like it.
It took a few years, but I think I've finally learned to not bite at these sales. Almost every app that I've ever paid for has gone free at least once. Every single day dozens of quality apps go free, and at least one of them each day is usually as good as any paid app. I'll never get around to really playing hundreds of the free apps I already own, and with several more every day, why would I pay for anything? Obviously, this business model wouldn't work if everyone followed it....
Considering most of the sale is being conducted by big name developers, I have no idea what the above is talking about
I got it about a 20 hours ago, had waited since March, It has only 33 levels, but LOADS to unlock, I am not into shumps / horizontal shooter until it has amazing content / some eye candy
Well so far I got: Risk, Tetris, Hero of Sparta2, ChuChu Rocket, Deep Deep Dungeon and Game Dev Story. Game Dev Story wasn't a sale item, but I just wanted it anyway! I'm unemployed so I can't go as crazy as I really wanted to this year, but I'm happy with what I bought!

And...I just bought Settlers from Gameloft. I'm a sucker for these types of games and for a buck I figured why the hell not.
I bought: Archibald's adventures Comic zeal epic win Phoenix Wright Wesnoth 1112 Azkend Demon hunter Tilt to live (too nerve wracking for me) Rimelands I also got 'ash' for free and didn't like the combat at all, so it was deleted. Stayed up one night until 3:30 playing Wesnoth. Very addictive! I was also looking for a good comic reader that works for itouch, and comic zeal is great, even if it's 3.99. I'm still debating to get: Highborn, Crimson gem saga, Settlers, Ravensword, 100 rogues, deep deep dungeon. Anyone have a preference out of those?
