my game, MiZoo HD is pretty good (but then I did write it ). It was the first match 3 on the iPad to increase the play area, and has a 'blitz' style mode too
I'd like to hear a recommendation for me: - no time limits or timing element - no adversary manipulating the grid - more variety in strategy than just setting up big combos So far I only know of Dungeon Raid. But there must be more in this class?
Have you checked out Bubble Bust? Super addcitive, but sadly no endless mode. http://www.appunwrapper.com/2011/11/16/bubble-bust-game-review-its-marbelous/
I played Paradise Quest on my Touch and really enjoyed it. Doesn't get the recognition it should actually. The screen shots doesn't do it justice but here's the iPad version: http://appshopper.com/games/paradise-quest-hd
The Treasures of Montezuma major update Good news everyone! (c) Finally, we released the major update for The Treasures of Montezuma HD. iPhone version of this game is also updated. So in case you have already deleted this game from you devices, make sure to download it back and try new features! http://itunes.apple.com/app/the-treasures-of-montezuma-hd/id390125034
We're working on a new one. Just what the market needs... We're concentrating on the actual gameplay though and not bolting on all this pointless stuff about exploring worlds and unfolding dodgy stories.
With all due respect, I like some of that pointless, dodgy stuff, because I like having some context for what I'm doing. That's what made Puzzle Quest so fantastic. Suddenly there was a difference between blue gems and red gems, and I had a reason to make matches of one versus the other. The sturdy and setting made one encounter different from the next and gave a purpose to the player.
Birrzle- it's a top game in Japan that means it's good, and it is... There alot of clones of it too...
I am commenting here, because I am recommending Jewel Fighter. If you like Blitz, this IS the next step.
Perhaps you could carry ours? It's out now on Android and sitting with Apple on iOS - expected sometime midweek.

Dungeon Story is a lot like Dungeon Raid (shockingly enough) but fun in its own right. I really like Kitten Sanctuary, too - there's a Puppy version for dog people.
