I was wondering what are the best games when only having access to a trackpad, I'm using a 2010 13' Macbook Pro

    Right behind you.
    I suggest a lot of point n' clicks, I beat portal 1 & 2 with a track-pad, MineCraft and Mini Ninjas.

Wouldnt point and clicks be the very worst games to suggest by definition? :0

I'd say an adventure game that you can play entirely with the keyboard would be best... if you have internet you should check out virtualnes, idk if we can link here but it has a nice library of NES games that you can play with your keyboard.
The old Doom/Doom 2 can be played completely without a mouse and a lot of RTS can be played using only hotkeys im pretty sure...

As for actual releases... not sure someone help me out? lol

I'd say just buy a tiny usb or preferably a bluetooth mouse if you have that option, I don't like trackpads much myself although the one on my netbook is quite good for general use with all it's multi touch tricks.
Basicly you need a small mouse for gaming in my opinion.

Very true... most games i named are like ports or emulations of old games. To really enjoy PC gaming you should just get a little mouse...

then you can play some more old games like Quake 3 and Age of Empires 2.

Roguelikes! (Rogue, Nethack, Ancient Domains Of Mystery, etc...)

Or get yourself a C64 and/or Spectrum ZX emulator and go to town!

Team Fortress 2 actually works surprisingly well.

Also look into DeathSpank on the Mac App Store.

I endorse this post one hundred percent. Nothing like loading up some M.U.G.E.N. and fighting against Goku with Peter Griffin or some crazy stuff like that.

Oh, you could also get NeoRAGEx if you want to play some Metal Slug, Last Blade or whatever else.
