I've never gotten around to playing that one... Back when my Gamecube was my main system, I was too big of a wimp to even come close to touching a horror game. Honestly, I wouldn't even check the back of the case or box. That said, why is it so good? I've been meaning to go back and check it out, but if you recommend it that much, I might make it a priority.
Trippiest game of all time my man. I remember sitting down on Halloween night in the dark upstairs in my attic and cranking the volume up. The experience is psychedelic and very story driven. You play as many different characters and there is magic and an insanity system which actually seeps into the gameplay mechanic, e.g. At one stage I was playing and the screen went blue as if to say my game had crashed etc... Sublime entertainment.
Sounds pretty awesome. I've seen some gameplay here and there, but it really didn't show all that much. I'll definitely give it a shot sometime though. Luckily, I think I'll still be borrowing Condemned from my friend for Halloween, and seeing as I have Resident Evil 2 and the REmake, as well as Code Veronica X (once I get it back), I should be more than set for this year. I was so bummed when I ordered Resident Evil 2 for my N64 a year or two ago and it came the day after Halloween.
...so I was right then? You must have missed a ton if you sat around playing Pokemon for three years. I breezed through Red in a week or two and moved on. The game hasn't changed terribly much since.
Nope, the formula has changed very little. Yet somehow, some way, still retains it's mega f*cking awesomeness. LOL
All great games there BrokenKings, although I never had a chance to play Dynamite Headdy, will have to give that a shot! That's what I love about threads like this, gives you a chance to revisit some great gems from the old school days that you might have missed
