First it was NBA Jam for $50 as a retail disc for consoles, when it was originally supposed to be included free with NBA Live or something or another. I'd pay $10 for a universal version, but not $10 for an iPad only version.
Clog up? Who made you the post police? If people want to talk about anything related to the game, be it price or gameplay, it's ON TOPIC. Just because you don't care doesn't make it your right to designate what people can and can't talk about. I find it hilarious that you think the world should cater to the content you deem worthy of posting.
Whys that ? Have you tried it ? Please let us know other details about the game and why you think its overpriced. (If you have bought it and think that then fair enough, however just saying that when you might not have ever played it is ridiculous) Lets get real, the games $5. In the 80's you had many games for $15, in the 90's they were more expensive for the Amiga/ST/Genesis costing $30 or more. This ones just $5, i mean come on I'm not saying its worth the money (or not worth it) but i'll at least try the game out first before saying its overpriced !!
From now on I will wait, but just joined the iPad ranks last month, and never really realized how many companies like EA are trying to make double the profit off the same individual.... I'd gladly pay 10 bucks for NBA jam if I could use it on both my devices, but I will not pay another 10 bucks after they already got 7 bucks from me, I think that's just not right..if they had a way of up charging me three dollars to pay for the iPad version after buying the iPhone version Id have absolutey no problem with it and they would be 3 bucks richer In any event the only reason I am talking about it here is that people not buying these things at ridiculous redundant price points for identical content Is the only way anything will change, gotta influence via the wallet...
People pleez!! Here is the bottom line: If you do not agree with the price point set for an app...simply do not buy it. You have all of the control over whether the product is a success based on demand for the game. There have been plenty of games that I wanted to buy, on impulse, but decided to wait for a myriad of reasons. I tag it on appshopper and wait for them to drop the price. If it does not drop...I win. If it has bad reviews and I waited...I win. There are plenty of other apps to feed our never satisfied hunger and thirst for more more more and more. I grew up playing the original at the arcade (a place where they housed human sized computers with buttons/joysticks and placed tokens into slots to play along side other humans.) Older folks like myself remember the good old days!!!! Anyone else remember those days?
I do and I agree on all points. I plan on adding this into App Shopper. I do vote with my dollar, but it doesn't mean we can't voice our complaints here. I'd love to get this day one, I played a lot of NBA Jam back in the day in the arcade. It's probably worth it, but for one, I hate EA, and secondly, there are so many amazing games for 99 cents to $5 that I'm spoiled. $10 is far from a lot of money, but it's more the principle that EA continues to release multiple versions and is trying to raise the price.
*sigh* How I miss those days... When arcades where at their highest point I was going in every week and dropping a MINIMUM of $20 a visit! I'm not a sports game person and had never played NBA jam in the arcade. In fact I never played it til the iphone version came out and if I knew then what I know now I probably woulda spent a good portion of that money in that machine! Dammit! Now I miss the whole atmosphere of ye olde arcades! When you'd see a punk rock kid playing doubles with a business man and you'd have a crowd of people watching over your shoulder just to see a high score fall... Getting old sucks
For 5 dollars i can buy 5 high quality app store game that will give me a lot more game time than this one. Thats overpriced....
Mmmm burgers! Seriously, I can't agree more, this game has WIN written all over it. We're so lucky to have such awesome games in the palm of our hands for so cheap! It almost feels like we're stealing from developers when we get 95% of the games on the iTunes store for $7 or less.
just got a text from EA... it said "f*** Game Center, we're EA. Without us, you can't play an NFL video game. We do what we want. So buy NBA Jam again, and suck it." Personally, I thought it was a little harsh. All I asked for was multiplayer.
Its my opinion, and i can do anything i want with it, so if YOU dont like it just leave or dont read it. I wont go anywhere
So you would rather starve and buy a game? Is that what you are saying? How you compare a basic nessecity with a game? Are you crazy?
