No, the only thing that's embarrassing is that you mention this in every single one of your posts. You own lots of games. We get it. You're overcompensating, bro.
Awww, let him, Duke. Maybe the only joy he has at the moment. Btw., I also own a pile of games, more than you can imagine, but I'm not embarassed. It's cool. And maaaaybe we could tell him a little secret: *whispers* everyone here owns a big amount of games. For addicted TA freaks, it's common. We're all just a bunch of crazy digital stamp collectors.
Yep, my life revolves around iOS gaming! You are really trying to bait me into a big forum battle, aren't you.
I actually agree with this. I love Suikoden 1 and 2, but no way would I pay what's being asked on ebay or Amazon. Were they to come to the iDevices I still wouldn't pay 16 bucks for them. it has nothing to do with being cheap, or wanting only 99 cent games-I've paid full price for Chaos Rings, and a bunch of others-the difference is CR was an original IP not a decade plus old game. If P.T. Barnum were alive today he'd be laughing his off.
No. According to the forum rules, starting a fight on purpose would result in an infraction or even a ban. I am not trying to bait you into a fight. This accusation is completely nonsense, maybe it is you who's looking for a fight - checking this thread on a daily base and still posting in it while having stated to quit posting here two times before seems like looking for trouble. But I might be wrong; just a guess and no offense intended. Also, please accept my apologies for my little mocking; I didn't know that you can dish it out but can't take it.
I've completely lost sight of the original conversation. One guy doesn't think something is worth the money, but a bunch of other people do? You can plaster that argument onto practically any object in the world, a house, a car, a fighter jet... it's completely pointless. I can't believe it took 55 pages for this weak and futile "no it isn't!", "yes it is!" charade to end. Square Enix don't care. The game is selling. They'll change the price when they see fit, not when you do. People who want it are welcome to buy it. People who don't want it are welcome to shove off, but please, on your way out try not to piss off the other customers.
Whats going on in here is price complainers and price defenders. Its a very amusing and funny battle , which intelligent point are made.
Says the guy with 4,000+ posts. And I never said I'd quit posting, I said I'd quit fighting with people, which I have upheld. Agreed, it was a guess. No offense taken!
Waiting on a sale on this one, after paying full price for the iPhone version I refuse to give into dev greed and laziness in not making universal versions.. I really like what World of goo and Sword and sworcery did, making the higher priced iPad version universal and a lower priced iPhone only version, that to me is at least a fair attempt not to dbl dip on every iPhone/iPod user who happens to own an iPad as well. Obviously a pure universal version from the start is the most attractive dev design, but I can understand charging a little more for a universal and less for a single device version... I guess until people stop paying 17 bucks for both versions, EA and others have no real incentive to to price gouge....
ah good! I always look forward to the weekly prerelease Wednesday price whining... has anyone tried the game yet? I'm curious if they put the minigames into the version. Very happy to see some multiplayer in it. Hope they add it into the iphone version!
It's price gouging not price whining.. Exact same game, 50% more than the iPhone version, not universal, meaning you will be spending 17 bucks for the same game if you would like the privilege of playing it on all your devices... Sorry but I'll pass on that, EA makes more than enough money, I'm not gonna help fill the corporate coffers with ridiculus expenditures for the same game... infinity blade, rage, world of goo, sword and sorcery, real racing, geomtry wars, battle heart, bug heroes , death rally, dungeon defenders, 100 rogues, all high quality great games that offer universal apps for a fair price..... Not to mention the scores of great .99 cent indie games out there that are universal as well... I for one can't support the Giant mega Corp EA making everyone of their releases non universal and charging a above premium price on all of them...at least make the highest price version inclusive and retro for the lower costs device versions..the doubling dipping is just too much for me
I tend to agree that I would prefer apps to be universal but I know nothing about programming and what it actually takes to make something universal. I imagine if it were very simple most games would be. The point I'm making is if you don't like the price all you hafta do is not buy it. People complaining about game prices takes up a lot of space in the forums and makes it harder for people who want to find out about what actually is featured in the game that much more difficult. If you really want devs to know how you feel about their pricing policies email them directly! Don't clog game discussion forums with complaints that may never be seen by the people you actually want to complain to.
Ever since I opted into iPad 1 of April last year, and with iPad 2 now: Gameloft and EA have NEVER made universal apps. It's known, that if you want the iPad version, to more often than not: Ignore the iPhone version and wait Or Buy both
