price Yeah, I agree with Bad Hanson. The game looks great but is way to expensive. Make it cheap first. If its good, it will sell. You can always make expansions for extra money or so.
I agree, I don't understand how developers don't get it by now that an intro sale will get more word of mouth buzz about the game and help build a customer base.
In 24 hours from now, the AppStore US (storefront) on iPad will not have even been updated. Therefore, the just ' 24 hour' sale would not benefit customers, as they wouldn't see it....it doesn't change over with new picks and featured apps until well into Thursday (Pac time) - If someone is going to do an introductory sale, it needs to be a like a 48 hr or 1week or weekend. . Ps. Capcom(s) mercenaries is phone, so seeing it already has terrible graphics - it'll look doubly terrible on your iPad blown up
@ Pacificsun0481 I'll be playing mercenaries on the iP4 buddy @caanerud I average 15-20 apps a week paid. I'm not buying that console-comparing B.S. A game gets a chance with me on day one if it's: (a) A must buy or (b) Good enough and priced right to pique my interest. Otherwise the game will be forgotten entirely and have no hope unless I spot it later on a 59p sale and it's ended up with very good reviews. In this games' case it looks average to good, I might have given it a chance. But then again I'm not compaining i've got stacks of other games which are of a known quantity to finish on my downtime. I don't think by any means that i am the only TA'er with this mindset.
I love to know when $7 or $8 game became expensive . Especailly when people buy console games and expect a similar version for 5% value of the original.FAIL!
By the way, it's now a month since FF3 was released, and it's never left the top 75 and is still killing the top grossing chart. Time to shut the f**k up, kthx.
Did you...um...watch the video? You don't think that looks $2.99 cool? Loo loo loo loo loo loo loo loo...
Um, it's number 12 under top grossing for paid games. And um, I'm pretty sure being the top 100 means you're selling hundreds to a few thousand units daily. So clearly, the price is just fine for iOS customers considering it still has a FIVE STAR RATING on the piece of shit and brutal system we call iTunes reviews.
What site are you using? In the app store it is no. 32 under top grossing. Don't they recalculate it on a per week basis anyways? Apple's "top paid apps" has always been a bit iffy
Pay no attention to nate's wallet failure. What is proven is there are iphone gamers who dont ccare about price and will pay money for console type games. This is a great day for the appstore!!
I can't help but smile when I read this. The amount of games I own is embarrassing, bordering on addiction. Last night I bought like 6, which I believe combined still cost less than FFIII! The day I spend $16 for a FF game is when FF6 (FF3 in the US) is released. I am willing to get ripped off for it.
ur not getting ripped off if you buy it and you love it. Then ur getting MORE THAN ur money's worth. If you like it, then u got ur money's worth.
My perception of getting ripped off is clearly different from yours. I love chrono trigger for the snes but would I pay $100 for it? No, even though I love it, I won't pay an amount that I believe to be excessive. The funny thing About this whole discussion is that FF3 is probably the only "major" iPhone release that I do not own. I simply don't think it is worth $16. End of discussion.
Finally! Woooooohoooooooooooooo!! (not to mention that you've already stopped discussing a few pages back)
I think a FF game should be worth $13 to any fan of the series. The only way you could possibly feel ripped off is by comparing it to the average price of an iOS game, which is completely the wrong way of looking at it. As I said before $0.99 games are not the norm, it is not a default price, it's an incredible bargain. Stop pretending it's the price that all games should be and realise that when it does happen, you're incredibly lucky. Low prices should never be expected, just appreciated. To expect a bargain is to express greediness.
But u did say Ud pay 16$ for that ff game. If ur willing to pay it, and u love it, how is it getting ripped off?
