Sorry, for $10 the game would have to be so good that this thread crashes the TA forum servers with people raving about it.
IMHO, For that you can get a game way better than this one.... Battle of the Bulge, KODP, KOTOR, Drive on Moscow, Baldurs' Gate Enhanced Edition, etc. which are worth hours and hours of gameplay........ and now Phoenix Wright series is on sale for $4.99. Sorry Disney.......
Yes, the console version, which is very short.... that is why I am not tempted to buy the IOS version for $10. What is your point?
I was just wondering if you'd played it. I always see people bashing games before they play them. I think $10 is a good price for this, personally, so long as the controls are ok. The console version was one of my favorite games as a child, and now I get to pass that experience onto my daughters for around the same amount I spend on lunch every day. I saved up my allowance and payed $50 for this game over 20 years ago. Now I can get it for 1/5 or that, and carry it with me everywhere I go. I'm in. As far as the length, that doesn't bother me. I prefer a good 3-5 hour game over a 60 hour grind fest. I'm too busy to be grinding and doing fetch quests for even 20+ hours. When I see something like 60+ hours of gameplay, that usually turns me off. I immediately know what to expect. Also the game has a high replay value. TL;DR: $10 = bargain
Your are entitled to your opinion, but I am just going to wait for the sale to check it out. I am just wondering that do you buy every game that seems interesting to you (games you like)? since it seems to me that you buy many games per week (= big budget)......because my budget for IOS games are not that much and I have already bought a good number of games this week.
You should leave us an impression after you have played it. I am just not too keen in giving $9.99 to Disney, while many indie developers are pretty much starving (and that is why I am waiting for the sale)...... but again if the game is that great, I will buy it at full price.
Is it now the TouchArcade mentality to ask how much space a title takes up and when it goes on sale? It's a blessing developers are starting to take an interest in the platform. If you don't want, don't buy it. Please don't taint us all with the same brush as being penny pinching and space obsessed. You would never see this in any regular game forum.
The price thing I agree with, but the space questions are very important. Apple charges a premium for space, and doesn't allow us to use external storage That means a games size is something that affects our decision. I'd rather pay $5 for a 20 MB game, than $0.99 for a 700MB game. MBs are worth money to me.
It seems like someone around here got a second TA account (only 4th post and specifically in this thread). Anyway, I am not "asking or begging" for it go on sale or when it is going on sale. I simply questioning myself whether I should wait for a sale before purchasing this game or not, since I don't have unlimited or a high budget (since I already purchased Drive on Moscow, Shivah, ....and many more games this week). In addition, I am just raising a question for debate for other members regarding the price for this title (since it is considered to be quite high for a relatively casual title in the appstore). Whether the price is justifying the quality of the game?...and not just jumping in blindly to buy the game without asking for opinions for other TA members first.
I am still waiting for a decent chunk of impression, not just people trying to defend the game with their very brief impression...........anyone?
I've played it for about an hour. I'm a moderator so I take it as a duty to try to come to the site for at least a while daily. Being someone who has a busy life I tend to do something called multitasking. Unfortunately, playing games cannot always be terribly high on my priority list. Hopefully that's ok with you.
No worrys, I thought you could give me a good impression of the game, since "it is that good" that you jump in to defend the game and Disney for putting up this price tag.......since I haven't seen many people done that after playing a $10 games briefly (especially when it is from a giant company like Disney).
I think it is fitting to ask how much space a game takes up. No matter how big your device is, it will eventually fill up to capacity. I have a 64gb ipad 4, a probably 3gb left on it. So yea I check to see the file size of a game before buying it. I don't particularly care about the price because if it is worth it i will buy regardless.
Do me a favor and show me where I "Jump in to defend the game and Disney for putting up this price tag".
Oops that was meant for another member..........my bad again, I thought you wrote the comment defending the game, but you are the one will a very neutral post. Sorry!
Fair enough. I just know that many members grow tired of constant price complaints for every game that isn't freemium. This could be where some of the defenders are coming from.
