This may come a couple years too late, but I *NEVER* understood why people liked Canabalt or however you spell it. I played the game on my friends phone for like 5 minutes and never touched it again, and probably wouldnt bother downloading it for free. I mean yes compared to todays games it doesnt have a lot to offer, but even compared to back then... pretty lame =/
English description + non English app = people buying it People buying it then realize it's not in English = wanting a refund Having a tiny footnote saying it's Japanese only in the app description = refuse refund Refuse refund = tricking people's $ Price tag is absolutely ridiculous. I don't care if this is the size of a full port of Elder Scrolls Oblivion, because not even Oblivion sells for $30 at this point for the PC.
meh, lots of triple A+ rpgs on the appstore that are less than 5 bucks, and in english. I doubt this game is anything different than most of the other jrpgs on the appstore.
You couldn't be more wrong, and this would be obvious if you spent even five minutes reading up on this game.
$25 for a not-so-well reviewed game on PSP. I already have a problem spending big bucks for virtual content, especially on iOS. Now you throw in a game that can cost up to three Xbox live arcade games. I've told myself that until changes (that'll prolly never happen) are made, I won't easily pay high prices for games on iOS. Especially if they cost the same or more than dedicated handheld systems or XBLA. Rid the AppStore of the BS and games like Reckless Racing 2 priced at $5 plus good marketing could be very successful. Also, I'm not saying $5 should be the cutoff point, but giving a small example. So far Rolando 2, GTA: Chinatown Wars, Chaos Rings, King of Dragon Pass, and Cave games are the only ones with the higher price tags that I've bought. I would buy Dariusburst, but it's a side scrolling shmup. ------------------------------------ You can also add in that I'm doing my best not to support devs/publshers that blatantly don't use Game center. Why? I want one social hub for leaderboards and achievements, not 100. Also, all my friends are on Game Center and it's built into the devices. So most people will prolly sign into it. EA wants us to use Origin. Gameloft wants us to use GL Live! Now that Chillingo is owned by EA, who knows what will happen, but I've come to learn that I can no longer expect Chillingo games to support GC. then there's Plus+ and Open feint. I just consider these two to be background hubs.
not just that.... can't pay 6.50 (4.99 US) for a $10 dollar psn/xbla game that they can take anywhere they want on their $300 ipod or $700 ipads... i guess $5 is too expensive for anyone with an iDevice, but still cheap enough for ppl with a ps3 or xbox...
Sorry if you didnt like it...I was on and I saw that first post was in another topic so I just posted it in this
