Even though I have no clue how the stock points work, I found this pretty wretched after dropping even lower than 200

It's bad news lets put it that way. lol. A drop this low will usually bounce back somewhat, but it's looking like EVERYONE is jumping ship now. And that is just badddddd news.

Everyone should liquidate their cash, invest in spam and firearms and start burning the rest for warmth.

A complex economic system hinging on a room full of men incoherently yelling at the ceiling doesn't inspire confidence anymore?

Pretty serious situation if things collapse it will be a repeat of the 1930's which led us into World War 2. I wouldn't really be surprised if Governments started WW3 just to keep us all occupied and stay in power I just wonder if anyone would actually survive it.

Sorry if I sound conspiratorial I just think think it has a quite a high chance of eventually happening although I do hope it's much later.

Everyone's afraid of the economy collapsing, so they all sell their stocks thereby causing the economy to collapse?

    Great work team.

I don't know what you're talking about, but you've probably just caused the world economy to collapse.

You know, it is really kind of incredible that the two right wing parties in the US are so incompatible.

The republicans consistently place party politics over the good of the American people and the democrats can't get their shit together for five minutes even when they are in power. It's the indifference party and the incompetence party, I really hate this country sometimes.

That pretty much sums up the last 10 (+?) years of American politics.

If the Republicans are so terrible, how or why are they elected? And the Democrats not being able to act in concert is due to this being a terribly complex issue. This has been brewing since the early 1900s and there are a variety of reasons of how this has occurred (depending on who you like to read or listen to). The way out is not easy either, and it definitely does not boil down to revenue vs spending cuts. Problems 80 + years in the making are not solved quickly.

Because they run on social issues in order to secure financial policy?
    I'm not an expert though.
