Ok so I really don't think you understand what the main issue really is. The post is essentially equating homosexuality with pedophilia and bestiality. That's isn't an opinion. (and certainly not an educated one) If I said "oh great another hetero dating sim... What's next... Rape, and child molestation?" That would be me saying that males who date females are also rapists and pedophiles. And that wouldn't be an opinion, it would be uneducated, tasteless dribble. I have no problem with his 'opinion' on homosexuality. it's the negative and aggressive manner in which he expressed it. If you don't think it's wrong then that's ok. And if you feel the same way that he does, well thats ok too. Frankly I don't care, just leave it off the forums. Oh and as for the game... I tried it out and didn't care for it. I found it to be kind of boring and a little pointless. Good graphic style, but just too shallow. It's not really for me. (just my opinion)

Toxic is right. We're gamers in the first place. Sexuality doesn't matter on TA. And since when does anybody need to be gay to read gay books or use gay apps? We're living in 2011, not 1965. Millions have seen "Brokeback Mountain". I doubt they were all gay. But as long as we have narrow-minded forum members who still live mentally in 1965, threads like this will happen.

A message from the dev Wow, well I wasn't expecting quite such a response, so thanks for all your comments so far Aside from the trolls of course, but it's always heartening to see the ignorant minority put in their place by the thinking majority. In answer to those who wonder why I made a gay relationship sim, well why not? Sexuality isn't really a relevant issue in most games, but in something like a relationship sim, it obviously is. As a game designer, it seemed like a natural choice to offer something a little different. Despite the game's obvious gay appeal, I actually hope it's something everyone can enjoy. I know the game isn't a technical marvel - I had to learn Objective-C from scratch, and I was pretty new to programming - but I'm glad it's making people smile. Looking forward to seeing more opinions. And thanks to everyone who bought or gifted the game so far. I especially love starjimstar's post! Michael
I really do think this forum has been overrun by kids. I'm losing interest bit by bit. The equating of gayness to pedophilia and bestiality, as if there is this slippery slope of sexual deviation starting with being gay, is *clearly* ignorant and ridiculous, not to mention hurtful. Why does it even warrant an explanation? For those that don't understand such things, people who are attracted to the same sex and not attracted to the opposite sex, are (for the most part) born wired that way. Just like some people are born with two different eye colours, or six toes, or red hair, or a penis and vagina, or genes that make them grow to be 7 feet tall. Like it or not, that's the way they are, and they have every right to try and live a happy, fulfilling life.
Agreed. As Vovin said, the idiots in this thread are in the minority. And they're most likely little kids who don't know any better. To be fair, most people act like dicks when they're young and then they realise their mistakes as they get older. I remember when I was at school, pretty much all the boys picked on anyone who was gay. But now they've grown up, they're now fine with homosexuality.
