To be honest, I've never seen Avatar, nor do I plan to.

Avatar was horrible. Don't get me wrong, the effects and graphics were amazing, but the plot was bad to say the least.

Here's the problem with that:

Avatar's original script was written by 1994. Pocahontas was released in '95.

Now, the story, yes, was around long before. It had been a story/folktale/legend since soon after the colonization of America, but I doubt that Cameron had spies inside Disney's studio in pre 1995 years saying: "Ooh, let's steal this idea from Disney and make a massive amount of money off of it later!"

So in all honesty, Pocahontas is more a spin off of Avatar than Avatar is a spin off of Pocahontas, and I think you belong to group 3 of haters described above.

 

So in all honesty, I already knew that and the story was horrible either way you put it.

Well, originally, this thread was cool. There were many reasons for that, but when the bat person and these other fails at life got here, it all went down hill
