I understand what you mean Midian, but the last time I used any social networking site, I just had too many real friends(a lot of which were former acquaintances from school) and family members from all over the states as well as old friends from past jobs messaging me and always expecting some kind of response back, regardless of how meaningless the post may have been. I have far too many things going in my adult life to keep up with as it is(good job, first home, new pets, BILLS BILLS BILLS! and a fiance), not to mention my extreme bouts of anxiety that I have on a daily basis which at times makes simple tasks seem monumental. I've got meds for that now, but just started(today). I didn't write that previous post to dissuade anyone from using said sites or to bash anyone else's views or practices. If I did so, I truly am sorry. I was merely stating how I personally viewed them. To me, email is the end-all-be-all as far as social networking of any sort is concerned. Call me old school, I guess... I do have a Twitter account, which I'm not fond of either, but that is a dev tool for me, even though I've yet to reaally use it. So again, to everyone, I'm sorry if I came across in any other manner than purely stating my personal opinion.
No worries, I knew what you meant I just gave a girl I know a virtual gift on Facebook 'cause it's her birthday. I've always been against virtual gifts but... now I kinda see the appeal, since it's highly likely to make her smile. I did actually get a real present too though, I'm not that cheap.
