The new Facebook layout seriously blows. It was best when they didn't have a News Feed and a Live Feed.
No joke! Now all I ever see on my main page are everyones gay quizes they take and sending eachother pokimon. I mean, seriously? Why would I care that my 18 year old friend received a pokimon from his uncle?!? It's retarded.... All I care about are status updates.
hi I have a friend who was able to play the iPad for a few minutes during the announcement。 - the LCD is beautiful and the view angle is almost 180 degree。 - the 1GHZ CPU is blazing fast. He loaded the web game Word of Lordcraft on it. It performed beautifully. -No multi-tasking, but you can still listen to music while doing something else - no camera, no text messaging。 - the system is iPhone OS 3.2。 - the keyboard is ok, but not great. It is not as sensitive as in the demo. -it is confirmed no Flash support
Sounds like it's your friends that blow I'm not really in favour of the new layout either though, it was better when notifications were always visible at the bottom. Putting them at the top just means they're hidden as soon as you scroll, and the chat tab looks ridiculous sticking up on it's own.
I honestly cannot stand most social networking sites myself. They're just too much to keep up with for me and in the end, they're basically pointless(IMHO). I get the whole keeping in touch with friends and whatnot, but I have a phone and I usually don't mind using it if I need to get in touch with someone.
There's not really that much to keep up with. If you keep it realistic and don't just add people you've never met for the sake of increasing the numbers then you only need to visit 2-3 times a week and you'll be up to date. I've got a phone too and use it regularly, but nonetheless it's nice being able to keep in touch with those you don't get to visit or talk to quite as much, for example I've got aunts & uncles on there who post photos of my little cousins, it's a lot easier than calling Switzerland to find out how things are going.
HP Slate vs iPad? Well I like to stay up to date on all tech stuff but I just found out about the HP Slate. And it looks like if offers what we wanted in the iPad, but doesnt have what is in the iPad. Anyone one think it will be able to run a mock up OS X or even iPhone OS? Better yet, will to be more interested in the iPad or the HP ? GO!
