Ever since I had school, that's how I got friends. And like I told you, that image was horrible. Let's not set another flame war like hardoregamer had upon us. I apologize for offending anyone, I just wanted someones opinion on this picture to prove my friend is messed up. I am sorry Lombardo.
Isn't it discrimination to treat someone differently just because they're missing some limbs? I actually know an amputee, and he can't stand it when all his mates are making fun of each other, but purposely avoid any comments about him in case he finds it offensive. They're saying offensive stuff to each other, does his condition make him less humorous? Maybe he's not strong enough to take a joke anymore. I'm not actually aiming this post at the baby picture, I wouldn't make fun of it myself, but it's an interesting point.
Yeah I've noticed that too. I tend to do that as well. Some people with disabilities find it offensive, others don't. But better safe than sorry.
It's interesting to see where people draw the line though. I'm sure many people here would laugh at a photo of a guy with a stupidly big nose, but that dude might be more upset about his nose than a guy with no arms is about his disability. Where is the line anyway? Would we laugh at a photo of someone missing a finger? How about a hand? I'm thinking hand is where most people would put the line. Edit: I realise kijib's thread is no place for a debate, but I didn't wanna dwell on it anyway
