I'm not feeling the love. Yeah, he's being a smartass... but it doesn't look like any special kind of smartassery to me, just the regular kind we see all the time.
That's cool. I sent an e-mail 20 years into the future asking how technology has changed. I haven't had a reply yet (maybe e-mails don't exist in the future?)
Interesting. Just sent myself a quick note: Dear John, You sent this email ten years ago, has life turned out the way you thought it would? Congrats on still using the same email address. Yours obviously, John.
I do think it would be kinda interesting to use that to sort of evaluate how your life has changed over the past 5/10 years. Describe everything that's going on in your life right now, and see how it compares. Of course, you'd need to keep the same e-mail address. I've kept the same one since it was created about 5/6 years ago though, and counting.
I just sent an email to Fred Phelps 20 years into the future: Dear Fred, Hahahaha, you're dead now. I'll be round shortly to piss on your grave. LBG
I just had an idea. If you e-mailed yourself every day, 10 years into the future on that exact day, describing how your day went, then in ten years time you'd get an e-mail every day describing your day 10 years ago. It would be like a diary but with a 10 year delay.
That would be pretty fascinating, but I doubt I could be bothered. I wouldn't be surprised if a few people have already started doing it. I've got a diary from 2002 and even though I've read it several times over it's still really interesting to see what I was thinking/feeling back then.
Yeah, as Midian said I probably couldn't be bothered, but it would be really interesting. It could be like a sort of project or something if you're into psychology, describing your mood and events of the day and whatnot. Kinda like those youtube videos of people taking a photo everyday of themselves for like a year or so.
