It does seem a bit low... I would have expected it to have been some (stereotype coming up, but probably accurate nonetheless) Korean/Japanese dude on an MMO or something. They have clinics for video game addiction over there, some of the patients must have broken 50 hours easily.
Yeah, that's pretty stupid. I could probably double that and play for 100 hours..... if I won double the money ($2600). At least the dutch have finally won something this year.
Exactly what I was thinking, not to mention a 50 hour gaming marathon isn't exactly that hard, not worthy of a world record anyway. In my eyes, a world record should be amazingly impressive, playing till you literally fall asleep at the console or something.
