What happened to Hodapp's post? It wouldn't let me quote it and now it's gone... Anyways, interesting thing I have to tell you Hodapp about the Scientology thing. I live in Florida, and go to the Clearwater Beach all the time. As you probably know, Clearwater is where the Scientology "Headquarters" is located. It's actually a really beautiful building. Anyways, we have to drive by there all the time to go to the Beach, so every once in awhile we see the people wearing the masks and protesting around a bunch of scientologists. They stay surprisingly cool during the entire thing. And last week when I went, there was some guy holding up a sign offering "DVDs to Prove Scientology Kills," and I took one I haven't looked at it though, it's on my drawer.
I guess what amuses me most about the Scientology protesting is that it's like... news to some people, that religions kill. This isn't something that is unique to Scientology.
But in Scientology you can't use modern medecines or many new medical procedures. Not only that, but they've they're "agents" (a.k.a. the people high up in the cult) have been directly connected to the deaths of other scientology members.
Not really. I know it's incredibly easy to demonize scientology, but when you look at the number of people every other religion has killed or exploited in the name of their god over the course of human history, Scientology's death count is barely even a rounding error in comparison.
