i lol'd hardcore @ Kijib thread. 4chan does this all the time. they just found an especially good scapegoat this time around. of course, the media coverage has all been about "cyber bullying" as they attempt to paint this girl as an innocent victim. they don't actually talk about the bad parenting and breakdown of values that leads a girl to post nude pictures of herself on the internet. :\
You do realize she will contemplate Suicide, right? She's young, she's being berated by assholes, she's a whore (insecure, etc.). Why the hate? Yes she's a conceited dumbass slutbag. Everyone deserves a second chance and I seriously doubt she's gonna get herself out of this shithole. You guys pretty much aided in the destruction of the rest of her life and you're hoping she doesn't take it too seriously? She had it coming, but this was just cruel. You guys even think about the consequences of your actions? And I seriously doubt she'll stop. It's all downhill for her now.
I'm going to have to agree with him here. She was being a punk and deserved what she got... but punishing her even more? That's overkill. Don't worry though, even though her life is probably going to be miserable, you don't have to care because you'll never hear of it again. Good job.

Skank cries, complains that her life is ruined. Father apoplectic, makes threats. Threats become memes. 4chan gets the lulz. 4chan likes lulz very much. That's about as much as I can reduce it before sticks to the pot. And I agree; a day's worth of trolling and whatever, fine, but it's going too far now. Teens and wannabe-teens attach just as much significance to their online persona as their real one, and every little thing is the end of the freakin' world to them. That's just the way teens are. Whorish smack-talking punk though she is, I'd hate to learn that something bad comes of this. Unfortunately, 4chan doesn't know when to quit. As long as there are lulz to be had, they'll keep doing it.

Well, this has just taken a depressing turn... Luckily, I seem to do a pretty good job avoiding this stuff. I try my best to avoid it. If anything even similar to this happened on TouchArcade, it'd end up deep within the Kijib thread, never to be seen again.
Well there's an ignominious way to go, buried under an enormous trash heap with kijib sitting on top. It's like felching a cow and accidentally getting sucked in.
I hope the media doesn't blow this all out of proportion...she deserved it and that's how the Internet work..but I hope this sends out a message out..if you act like her..people will send a ton of stuff to your house

The problem I'm seeing is there's no sign that it's over at all. Even when 4chan stop their games this girl is gonna keep acting this way and pissing people off. It may seem like a "typical teen" to some people, but have you heard/read the things she's said? That's not normal in the slightest and it's gonna end in some bad results.
Personally I think it's OTT. Yeah so she's an idiot on the internet, but an unwritten rule is that what's on the internet stays on the internet, abuse them all you like on it, but don't bring RL into it. For me, that's when it crosses the line.
