There is one conspiracy that you forgot to mention in your OP, why did Hodapp choose to roll the dice on the threads life? Why didn't he perform his regular moderator duties and lock the thread automatically ?

New Development: With my research teams fully deployed and working a rigorous schedule, we have discovered a very troublesome piece of information.

It seems as if the Kijib Thread has the ability to delete posts from itself, thus decreasing it's chances of being locked or deleted.

Or, worse... The moderators are deleting the posts, grooming and trimming it into a monster...
