It'll be like AdMob, with the discrete little bars at the bottom.

The way iAds are implemented are actually significantly less obnoxious than AdMob as when you can tap them and see whatever they're advertising without quitting out of the app you're using. I hate accidentally hitting an AdMob ad, only to have my game quit and Safari load up.

    That won't happen with iAds!

Yeah and I think they are more interactive than normal ads, like they have little games/demonstrations.

Just be thankful that Apple is giving us iAds not Aids....

What I most want is improved synccing with itunes. I have not syncced in 4 months because I so greatly fear the process (takes forever).

Probably foolish to hope we are getting that :(

no, the page limit is still the same, but you can fit 12 apps into 1 icon on the home screen, so you can technically have over 2000 apps. i really doubt anyone would have that many apps, but its a big number, and bigger is better:D

    Perv, why do you care?
They are only in games which the developers want. They will never appear in gameplay.

  12. You can still see the icons when you open a folder...

Wallpapers consume memory, and 2nd gen devices need every K they can get their hands on or you'll start running into stability issues as memory-hogging apps cease to be able to allocate sufficient memory to run. This is why no multitasking, either.

because jailbroken 2nd gen iPods couldnt do all that stuff, right?

  14. Yeah, it says "Backing up ______'s Ipod" On the top of the itunes screen when you synch.

  15. Sure they could. And you ran into stability issues when you did. Which was why I stopped jailbreaking a year ago.

I just upgraded to the release version of iOS4 and some of my apps don't have icons. A select few, maybe 5 and when you put them in a folder the icon re-appears when looking from the "outside" of the folder, but when you go inside it is gone again. Any ideas?

    Just let it run.

If you haven't backed up in a while (and/or have a ton of apps/data on) then this can take a while. When I upgraded to OS 3 I think it took about 7 hours for my backup/sync!
