Your sense of humor is appalling. I can't stand people who think they're better than someone because they have more things. A poor, starving, diseased person is a matter of extreme concern not something for us to sit high on your horse and laugh about. Do you actually think you're better than these people?

I understand that the choices I make everyday are unheard of luxuries to the vast majority of people around the world. I've spent time in Guatemala and seen some things you will never imagine, that's why I try as hard as possible to never take things for granted. I don't pity the people who live in those horrid conditions because I'm not better than them. I want to help them, not look down on them. I suggest you know who you're talking to before you start making accusations that I don't have compassion and I'm a monster.

Ugh, that was a parody that I tried to use to shut you up, but apparently that doesn't work. We had a perfectly functional and hilarious thread here, and you had to come screw it up. Look, it's not our fault that these countries are the way they are, but every single developing country has had their chances to rise above the junk they live in. The US had to fight wars against the British and against ITSELF to live normal lives. If we created this nation out of a few hundred pilgrims on a boat, then countries certainly can help themselves out of their messes if they want to. Nevertheless, it is true that people are suffering unnecessarily. Maybe if they got some decent leaders... Yet you're talking about it and not experiencing it, obviously. You guys are right this wasn't the right place to start talking about these issues. I have nothing personally against anybody, I was just very surprised by the things I read. To answer your question, no I don't think I'm better than anyone else. I've just seen first hand some things you've only heard of so I thought I could share my perspective. I'm just upset because I don't want anyone on here thinking they're above anybody from a third world country in any way. I'm sorry that I started "preaching" in a games forum. You're right, that was inappropriate, which is why I'll stop. You have your opinion and I have mine and that's never going to change. I don't feel sorry for anything I said, only for saying it in the wrong place.

I don't even know what's going on with Lost anymore. When the pilot returned to the people on the other island... WTF happened in the meantime? Shadow of the statue?! Man, I spent half the day thinking today was Wednesday thanks to the wacky work schedule I've got myself on. I was all excited for today's episode of LOST... Then I discover it's Tuesday... DOH.
